Description of Work The Division of Public Health is accepting applications for a CHAMP Program Coordinator. This position resides in the Communicable Disease Branch. The primary purpose of this position is to support and coordinate the North Carolina Hepatitis Academic Membership Program (CHAMP). This position reports directly to the Program Manager and is responsible for providing CHAMP program oversight, updates, written reports/correspondence, oral reports/presentations, trainings and program initiatives. The Program Coordinator will work closely with the North Carolina Hepatitis Program Staff, University of North Carolina Chapel Hill (UNC) partners and Duke University partners to support the CHAMP Hepatitis C Program. This position will coordinate all aspects of the CHAMP program, including but not limited to recruitment, enrollment and planning boot camps, maintenance of the CHAMP and Viral Hepatitis websites, customer support for CHAMP providers, monitoring of mentorship calls, data collection and support and program development. The Communicable Disease Branch of the Division of Public Health primarily deals with infectious diseases that are reportable by law to the state health department, as well as a few other communicable diseases of public health significance, such as influenza, norovirus infection and certain healthcare-associated infections. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities / Competencies To receive credit for all of your work history and credentials, you must list the information on the application form. Qualified candidates must document on the application that they possess all of the following: Experience in provider contact, assessment administration and data entry. Ability to understand or learn about viral hepatitis prevention, screening, harm reduction and linkage to care. Ability to communicate clearly and concisely in oral and/or written form with health professionals, affected communities and the General Public. Basic computer skills,including experience with Windows,word processing, and in data entry. . Management Preferences: Experience managing a provider-based program Experience providing capacity building, training and technical assistance to individuals and providers Experience working in a health care setting Minimum Education and Experience Requirements Bachelor's degree from an appropriately accredited institution and three (3) years of experience in the program related to the area of assignment; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.
