BW/BI Architect - Responsible for end-to-end Business Intelligence and Analytics (BI&A) systems life cycle from requirements gathering, through work prioritization, enhancement development, coordination of testing, change management, documentation and training for the SAP BW/BI reporting and applications. Serve as an internal consultant to architect, develop, configure, and maintain the Analytics solution environment including SAP Business Warehouse (BW), SAP Business Intelligence (BI), and SAP Business Planning and Consolidation (BPC). Use analytics and metrics to improve processes and provide data-driven forecasts of potential costs, risks, and profits of new business initiatives. Communicate findings and insight to stakeholders and provide business strategy recommendations for optimizing business performance. Adhere to BW/BI best practices and standards to maintain a stable Analytics environment. Mentor junior members in best practices for development techniques, providing quality check points, and design reviews. Design comprehensive BW/ BI solutions by translating complex requirements into an optimal design. Collaborate and work with cross functional teams across multiple domains (Basis, Security and SD, FI, PP, PM, TM) providing reporting solutions and responding to ad-hoc report requests. Design data structures for SAP and third-party systems to optimize data load times and end-user data access response times while minimizing data quality risks and proactively identify potential data issues. Build and enhance SAP BW objects such as Info Objects, Transformations, DTPs, Info Providers, DSOs, Info Cubes, and Multi Providers and Process Chains. Build Business Intelligence reports using Analysis Edition for MS (Analysis/MS), Analysis Edition for OLAP (Analysis/OLAP), Web Intelligence (WebI), and other tools as required. Provide SAP Business Planning and Consolidation (BPC) data processing between SAP ECC and SAP BW environment during month-end close. Monitor BW performance loads, communicate and troubleshoot issues with data integrity, master data and functional/ technical software issues. Support the training of BI Power Users on SAP WebI, SAP Analysis/OLAP, SAP Analysis/MS; and dashboards developed with Tableau, SAP Design Studio, and SAP Lumira. Requires a Bachelor s degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics or related field and minimum of 5 years of experience in SAP BW/BI, BOBJ and SAP BI Report Development across multiple SAP domain areas (SD, FI/CO, COPA, PE, PP, MM, QM, WM, or TM). 5 years' experience configuring SAP BW objects: InfoObjects, Transformations, DTPs, InfoProviders (DSOs, InfoCubes, and MultiProviders), Data sources, Process Chains. Minimum 2 years experience maintaining BPC for financial reporting including reconciling ECC and BW data. 2 years' experience leading blueprint workshops and 2 years' exp. planning, directing and coordinating cutover activities of projects to ensure that goals and objectives of projects are accomplished within prescribed timeframe and funding parameters. Must also have 2 years' experience leading multiple BI projects simultaneously in a three-tier landscape environment, understanding the technology and design related conflicts and tasks needed to resolve.
