Deputy Commissioner of Public Works--Operations The City of New Rochelle is seeking a Deputy Commissioner of Public Works--Operations. Public Worksis one of the busiest departments in the city. We oversee key areas of the Citys governmental functions including engineering, roads, storm water drainage and sewer collection systems, public buildings, and the Citys vehicle and equipment fleet. Often behind the scenes, residents and visitors benefit daily from the services we provide. Requirements: The position requires a bachelors degree and 10 years of progressively responsible experience in public works maintenance and service operations. At least 5 years of the requisite experience shall have involved responsible supervision of a major maintenance and service operation. Experience may be substituted on a year for year basis for college training and four (4) years of such experience may be accepted in lieu of graduation and a degree.
