DescriptionAtmospheric Aerosol and Chemistry Programming Support ScientistSAIC is seeking a scientific programmer/analyst to support the Global Modeling and Assimilation Office (GMAO) and Atmospheric Chemistry and Dynamics Laboratory (ACDL) at NASA/GSFC in the development of the GEOS Earth System Model (ESM) and Data Assimilation System (DAS).The position entails code development and testing related to the implementation and enhancement of atmospheric simulation capability in the GEOS ESM, including especially work on aerosols, trace gases, and chemical processes. The position offers a unique opportunity to join a team that specializes in aerosols, stratospheric ozone chemistry, and tropospheric air pollution, including their interactions with interannual variations and long-term changes in the atmospheric circulation and human activities (e.g., pollutant emissions).
