Senior Information Technology Generalist SEG is seeking a Senior Information Technology Generalist to be responsible for carrying out complex information systems and/or information technology tasks within more than one discipline. Disciplines may include, but are not limited to, application support, network telecommunications, and infrastructure operations of administration, analysis, engineering and design. Responsibilities include: Linux-based LDAP administration. Monitors and supports the information technology and systems infrastructures. Troubleshoots and resolves moderately complex problems. Implements various applications of a complex nature. Conducts analysis including planning, designing, and evaluating a variety of information technology tools. Responds to user requests for system needs and upgrades. Take initiative and independent judgment outside of the standard methodology, techniques, procedures and criteria. Recommends changes in procedures. Provide work leadership other employees in the IT Department. Required Skills Minimum Requirements: A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field. Minimum 5-8 years related experience in multiple disciplines of the information systems and technology fields. Experience with a Linux Operating Systems is required. Qualified candidates will be detail oriented, highly motivated and comfortable with working independently and in a development team. Core requirements: * Red Hat Enterprise Linux-based administration to include automated kickstart installation and configuration * Linux-based LDAP administration * Ability to create scripts for automation, monitoring, etc. * Experience with VMware vSphere or equivalent virtualization technology for Linux-based guests * Ability to design and implement backup systems * Experience with NIST 800-53 or STIG security standards and compliance * Cluster computing experience including scheduler installation and management * NetApp (or equivalent enterprise storage) administration for multiprotocol environments Applicants must possess U.S. citizenship and an active security clearance. Preferred Requirements: Candidate with these desired skills or experience will be given preferential consideration: Experience in any of the following: NetApp, VMware vSphere, Red Hat based Linux distributions.
