Responsibilities: The main focus is to ensure the Data Centers/Computer Rooms are supported and maintained to Client standards. I n the data center/computer room space, oversee the data center (DC) and computer room operation teams to ensure equipment/device racking, patch cabling, and labeling follow approved DC standards. Supervise our outsourced partners assuring their practices align closely with the Client data center/computer room standards and procedures. Work closely with various IT groups to ensure their deliverables are clearly understood and implemented on a timely and accurate fashion. Interacting and working alongside site facilities groups insuring the data center/computer room support systems (power/electrical, cooling, humidification levels, and security) are functioning properly to support the hosted IT equipment and are routinely maintained. Assist with setting DC access permissions and support audit compliance reviews. Work closely with the DC planners to oversee that DC asset inventories, asset reconciliations and decommissions follow standard procedures, are conducted in a timely matter, and changes are accurately recorded in the CMDB asset management system. Work with the DC planners on global computer room site survey analysis and remediation. Ensure Incident Management procedures are followed, respond to IT escalations, and ensure resolution, recovery and closure of critical incidents. Must drive various vendor and application support teams to suitable remedies. Provide oversight to ensure remedies are implemented and communicated to stakeholders. This includes Problem task and CAPA coordination, follow up and documentation. Liaising with the facilities team and external Service Providers (SP's) to ensure DC standards are accurately documented and adhered to. Assuring SP's delivery against committed service level agreements (SLAs) and managing formal recovery plans that result from SLA misses. Ensuring the Data Centers/Computer Rooms are supported and maintained to company standards. Working alongside site facilities personnel ensuring the data center/computer room support systems are functioning properly and routinely maintained. Working with the DC planners on asset inventories, decommissions, CMDB to inventory reconciliations and global site computer room surveys. Contributing to Company site footprint optimization, including building out infrastructure at new sites and migrations to and from existing sites. Availability for occasional off-hours and weekend work as needed. Driving compliance with best practice, regulations, and company internal procedures. Contributing to the culture of Enterprise Architecture and Platforms, as well as the company as a whole, by active engagement with the business and participation in IT workplace activities, such as internal conferences and dialogues. Play an integral role in the planning, executing and closure activities for data center consolidations, data center closures and physical asset migrations. Partnering with IT Business Partners, Digital Capability Management, developers, and researchers to understand business objectives and priorities and to develop aligned IT solutions. Creating and driving technology standards and architectures, in partnership with company IT colleagues and outsources vendors. Driving continuous improvement of hosting operations, with a focus on speed, quality, and usability. As needed, assembling SWAT teams of colleagues at various levels to address urgent company IT needs. Effectively build alignment and influence others in a matrix environment. Manage competing priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced team environment. Willingness to serve in a 24x7 on-call cycle to manage escalations. Analyze data, gather critical information, judge quality, and deliver timely information to support business and management decision-making. Required to perform initial analysis on the current state of the data centers as well as develop a detailed plan of execution. Participate in the execution activities and confirm the closure of the planned activities. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in science, technology, engineering, or business required. At least 10 years of experience in the IT profession. Technical and operational understanding of data centers, server infrastructure, structural and patch cabling, and data center/computer room operations. Technical and operational understanding of data center support systems - power/electrical, cooling, humidification levels, and security. Past experience in data center consolidations, data center closures and physical asset migrations. Experience with CMDB systems and asset reconciliation processes. Experience with infrastructure qualification and validation of computerized systems. Previous working experience in a global corporation. Competency in developing and managing processes for an IT operations environment. Skill and experience with managing a budget, including forecasting projections, modeling future consumption, and meeting financial commitments. Following ITIL based service delivery Configuration/Change/Incident/Problem/CAPA Management. Experience with complex projects dealing with Mission critical applications. Experience with Vendor and SLA management. Past experience in data center closures, data center consolidations, and physical asset migrations. Formal Data Center management training is a positive. HVAC, Power/Electrical, Security training is a plus. ITIL education and certification are desirable.
