Reporting to the Vice President of Information Technology, the Manager of Financial Business Analysis' role is to devise and design business requirements for all IT-related financial systems critical to organizational functions. This includes researching and analyzing data in support of business functions, process knowledge, and systems requirements. The Manager of Financial Business Analysis is also responsible for proactively generating and compiling reports based on his or her findings, complete with recommended improvements to - or new requirements for - business processes and operational procedures as well as configuration changes or development requirements. This individual will apply proven communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills to help maximize the benefit of IT system investments and to assist in implementing new computer systems.
The primary area of responsibility will be to support the JDE 9.2 platform used by the enterprise. This position will need to have a broad knowledge of the JDE ERP system development, project management, and project implementation is strongly preferred. This role combines JDE financial systems subject matter expertise and seasoned business analyst skills. To this end, he/she should have proven expertise to gather requirements, process mapping, conduct gap analysis, coordination of gap closure through the development of business process changes, data migration, conference room pilots & integration testing, system implementation, and post-production support. The position is also expected to assist in the design, implementation, and training of users on financial consolidation, planning, and data warehouse applications. Experience with financial consolidation software such as Onestream, Adaptive Insights, and/or Hubble desired.
INITIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
o Work closely with Finance and Operations and to identify areas of opportunities to leverage technology to drive efficiencies and key productivity improvements, including Identification, implementation, and support of financial system and financial process best practices.
o Drive standardized business processes among financial systems/functions to simplify business processes.
o Work closely with management to understand and prioritize business goals and information needs, then translate these needs to functional systems requirement documents and design specifications. Then refine conceptual systems design requirements into high-level technical design documents
o Provide IT leadership towards the financial systems by developing project plans, obtaining business approvals, risk assessment analysis, implementation of changes, and overall project management to ensure goals are accomplished within the prescribed time frame and cost.
o Configuration of JD Edwards EnterpriseOne system, preferably JDE E1 9.2 in Financials (GL, AP, AR, Fixed Assets, Cost Accounting, Consolidation, Financial Reporting and Analysis, Inter-company Accounting, etc.)
o Serve as the lead for specific sections of large-scale implementation and manage (plan, motivate, execute, and report) all efforts related to the project.
o Provide end-user support, lead documentation of end-user manuals, and ability to train end-users.
o Manage JDE post-production support, system bugs; analyze the root cause of problems, and provide direction for temporary solutions, corrections, and enhancements.
o Creation of functional requirements document / specifications. Work directly with end-users to obtain requirements and translate the information into a functional requirements document for development towards a technical requirements document.
o Maintain a flexible work schedule that allows for after-hours and weekend work.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:
o Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Finance/Accounting, or a relevant subject matter required.
o 10+ years of equivalent work experience in an enterprise environment.
o Robust JDE Development and Business Analyst experience supporting the JDE platform.
o Solid understanding of financial applications as well as financial, accounting, and costing principles that drive application development and usage
o Proven experience in the development and implementation of technology solutions.
o Solid foundation in understanding manufacturing constraints to aide in system design and implementation.
o Previous expertise in developing and implementing processes for new technology design and rollout.
o A proven track record in automation, technology & business development in a technical environment is required.
o Necessary project management skills.
o Excellent hardware and software troubleshooting experience.
