Job Description

Job SummaryThe Programmer Analyst position is a multifaceted role that is responsible for leveraging technology to optimize business processes and expand organizational capabilities. It involves application administration, systems analysis and programming, and enterprise data management functions. Essential Duties Provide application, programming, integration and analysis support for various systems, which may include the Collegersquos ERP, SIS, LMS, CRM, CMS, IdM, BI and Document Management solutions, among others. Develop an in-depth understanding of institutional data, and support enterprise data management activities, which include updating, maintaining and enhancing the data warehouse and data models that support the reporting and analytical needs of the College. Assess current business and system processes (independently and in partnership with others) to identify pain points and opportunities, define new process and data flows, develop solution design and integration specifications, and evaluate solution alternatives, while taking into consideration best practices, sustainability, costbenefit and other drivers. Serve as a technical lead for implementing and integrating new applications, with collaboration and involvement from functional departments, project managers, systems analysts, peer technical counterparts and vendors. Establish controls to monitor the effectiveness of our processes and solutions, to ensure on-going stability and to identify opportunities for continuous improvement. Continually learn and develop soft and technical skills through personal initiative and various training opportunities. Maintain a working knowledge of industry trends, best practices, and product roadmaps to help identify risks and opportunities that should be considered. Minimum Qualifications Bachelorrsquos degree, or equivalent job experience while in pursuit of a degree Experience with one or more of the following SQL, ETL, PowerShell, C, APIs Preferred Qualifications Experience in higher education Experience administering and maintaining ERPSIS, Document Imaging and Workflow, Data Warehouse andor Business IntelligenceReporting platforms notably Ellucian Colleague, Hyland OnBase, andor WebFOCUS. Familiarity with Software Development and Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CICD) concepts. Special Requirements Occasional evening, weekend and on-call work is required to support strategic initiatives, system maintenance and to remediate service disruptions. Other Requirements Ability to satisfy, within the parameters set by the College and consistent with applicable federal, state and local laws, a criminal background check as a condition of employment.
