Intern Responsibilities
Kemper Summer Analysts will be exposed to the following concepts and experiences:
Market and industry analysis and research to develop strategic insights into our business and competitive positioning
Operating performance and business strategy assessment relative to our competitors and our corporate objectives
Financial, strategic, and commercial evaluations of corporate development opportunities, including acquisitions, divestitures, joint ventures, etc.
Development and analysis of financial models that drive strategic insights and help address diverse business problems
Assist in the evaluation of our business strategy and initiatives relative to our broader corporate strategy
Evaluate the impact of strategic decisions on our stakeholders (i.e., customers, employees, shareholders, etc.)
Intern Requirements & Qualifications
Must be enrolled in an accredited bachelor's degree program, with a scheduled graduation between December 2021 and June 2022
Qualifying majors include in Finance, Accounting, or a Business-related field
Requires familiarity with database querying Statistical and business analysis experience preferred
A minimum 3.5 GPA on a 4.0 GPA scale
Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Energetic and eager to tackle new projects
Self-directed and able to work with little supervision
Interest in insurance and financial services
Good collaborative and relationship-building skills
