Its mission is to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ and to meet human needs in His name without discrimination Essential Functions Collaborate with a team of Program Aides, Project Coordinator and Program Manager to administrate rental assistance to over 650 individuals selected by lottery for the "Santa Ana Cares" program. Review applications assigned by the City of Santa Ana for completeness, accuracy to ensure applicants are eligible for assistance. As necessary, inform tenants of application denial or ineligibility; document reasons for denial. Communicate professionally and effectively with team members, tenants and key stakeholders. Work with tenants to obtain additional documentation on tight deadlines. Obtain documents required to complete assistance from landlords and property managers. If required, pick up required documents from landlords. Compile and submit check requests to Fiance Department; revise requests as required. Answer and return phone calls and emails from tenants and landlords; document interactions in City software platform. Participate in daily and/or weekly reviews of progress with TSA team members and stakeholders including the City of Santa Ana and Catholic Charities. Maintain files of assisted tenants and compile reports for Program Manager as required. Other duties as assigned. RequirementsMinimum Qualifications The ideal candidate will possess experience in a Social Services office setting, excellent professional communication and must perform well under pressure. Must speak, read and write English proficiently in a business communication manner. Bilingual English/Spanish or Vietnamese preferred. The individual must show respect for other employees, associates, clients, and the goals and objectives of The Salvation Army Skills, Knowledge & Abilities Task oriented, professional and organized. Excellent office skills; position will utilize Microsoft 365 Suite and Neighborly Software.
