As one of the largest lighting fixture manufacturers in North America, it features a suite of brands that provide a full range of indoor and outdoor lighting products serving the commercial, industrial, institutional, and residential markets.Position OverviewThe PMO Program Manager will provide support to project managers leading key strategic initiatives and support the PMO Head in the areas of resource management and risk management. This person will serve a key role in establishing a new PMO within the organization to ensure the successful delivery of the most critical strategic initiatives.Duties and ResponsibilitiesResponsibilities:Project Pipeline* Ensure project information accuracy and challenge key business case assumptions* Guide and support Project Managers on day to day project execution* Ensure active risk management throughout the duration of projects* Support project team interactions across business units and functions* Drive quality review of project deliverablesChange Management* Establish and facilitate standard process for requesting and approving changes in project scope* Define and maintain standards for documentation of scope changes* Support transition of projects from project team to organization to ensure changes in roles and responsibilities are defined and supported* Ensure project communication plans keep stakeholders informed and that they are receiving critical information at the right intervalsKnowledge Management* Develop an evaluation method to assess program strengths and identify areas for improvement* Enable team efficiency by facilitating collaborative knowledge transfer and best practices across project teams* Conduct post project reviews to capture learnings, challenges and best practicesSkills and ExperienceAttributesStrong project management and supervisory skills* Adept at project management; familiarity with varying types of projects essential* Strong organizational skills to keep track of multiple projects and constantly push them forward* Strong attention to detail to ensure quality of project data* Able to prioritize effectively according to overall business strategy and financial impact* Core skill sets will include multi-tasking, task setting & tracking, strategic thinking, conflict managementProblem-solving ability* Experience in business transition and change management* Problem solver who can synthesize information and knowledge to achieve a solutionCommunication skills* Ability to communicate, influence, and negotiate effectively to build strong relationships across the businessKnowledge management* Develop others in project sponsorship and project management and use of best practices developed in previous projectsTo be successful in this role a candidate will:* Have an entrepreneurial mindset a constantly forward-looking view of overall business strategy and implications on project organization* Drive innovation invest time in continual improvement* Pursue a positive team culture act as an advocate for high-performing culture and respects different cultures and backgrounds* Build mutual respect demonstrating through own actions and expecting the same of others* Lead with integrity not compromising on ethical standards and safetyExperience and Qualifications* Bachelors Degree* MBA / Masters in Engineering Management highly desirable* 5-10 years experience in Program Management with a broad project portfolio at the enterprise level preferably within a PMO structure* Strong organizational and time management skills* Excellent communication skillsEducationBachelors Degree in OtherMasters Degree in Business or Engineering ManagementHubbell Incorporated, its subsidiaries and affiliates, is an EO Employer AA: M/F/Veteran/Disability.
