And we won't stop innovating until the bullet is rendered obsolete.It's a big mission, but it's one we'll pursue relentlessly every single day.Your ImpactOur Digital Evidence Management team is seeking a talented Principal Product Manager who has a track record of defining and executing complex software deliverables while working with very cross-functional teams. In this role you'll have the opportunity to work directly with all of the critical organizations within the Federal Government to deliver highly visible results and make a direct impact bringing Axon technology to the Federal space. Your primary area of ownership will be to collaborate with Federal customers, and the Federal sales and customer success teams to understand detailed requirements and applying creativity and ingenuity to deliver a compelling product roadmap that unlocks real value for our customers.The highly collaborative nature of this work will enable you to establish partnerships with Product Managers, Technical Program Managers, Product Designers, Engineers and our go-to-market teams in the pursuit of delivering a high-quality, enterprise-ready system. As we continue to rapidly grow and scale, you'll be uniquely positioned at the nexus of where product feedback and the build comes together facilitating new product deployment to beta users. These user populations are expanding across the entire country and your ability to prioritize feedback, plan updates and contribute to system readiness will be essential to the team's success.Role Responsibilities* Collaborate closely with all aspects of the federal sector; to include operations, program execution and sales. Your success depends on a close relationship with the Federal sector and the ability to join forces to achieve Axon's overall Federal market goals.* Get hands-on with our current and potential Federal customers to empathize with and understand their unique needs* Advocate for our Federal customers within a primary engineering squad as well as all squads across Axon to deliver a Federal-first product roadmap* Deeply understand the technical architecture and dependencies needed to deliver, and maintain the detailed schedule of delivery of all of the moving parts between Engineering squads* Write well-articulated and clear business cases with associated product stories for what the teams are building or proposing to build cutting edge software products* Maintain prioritized, comprehensive, and up-to-date product requirements.* Pattern-match with other non-Federal customer use cases and deliver innovative solutions that raise all boats when possible* Create a strong end to end working team that executes quickly and has a shared vision of success* Deliver roadmap presentations and software demos to customers, prospects, and internal audiences* Present the status of the products broadly across the organization on a weekly basis, while exhibiting command of the details* Be an authority on the market, competition, our customers, the technology, and our products* Define and analyze metrics that ensure successRequired Professional Skills & Experience* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related technical field* 7+ years relevant software Product Management experience ideally shipping complex, multi product/system solutions with IoT devices, SaaS components, and mobile apps* Experience with FedRAMP regulations preferred* Security clearance or no challenges obtaining it to be able to engage deeply with Federal customers* Ideally also has direct working experience as a Technical Program Manager or strong familiarity an experience collaborating with a senior Technical Program Manager* Direct experience working with engineers to balance scope, time to market, and functionality, constantly making trade-offs using qualitative, quantitative, and absent data* Excellent problem-solving skills, well-structured written and verbal communication* Proven track record of delivering successful products that achieve key business outcomes* Ability to bring anyone's ideas to life as if they were your own* Systems thinker who designs elegant end to end experiences and solutions* Flexibility to travel domestically when necessary (15%) as State and Federal guidelines confirm it's safe to do soWe are an equal opportunity employer and value diversity at our company.
