We are looking for an executive leader to join the Customer Experience Chief Technology Office (CX CTO) team, a best-in-class group of technologists comprised of Distinguished and Principal Engineers who push the boundaries of what is believed to be possible and set the standard for engineering excellence in CX and beyond. This is a community that takes great responsibility in leading from the front, advancing our services and technologies, and keeping the world moving forward. As part of the CX CTO team, you will be essential in redefining Cisco s digital customer experience. In this role, you'll lead these superior engineers, maintaining an employee-focused lens to increase happiness and satisfaction. This key leadership role will be critical in driving our Senior Technical Talent strategy, helping us to scale this elite technical team in the next phase of CX growth, while also supporting employee engagement and ongoing development. As an industry thought leader, you will represent CX in external and industry forums, and will support your team in generating creative and innovative solutions, working to promote innovation and protect Cisco intellectual property. Who You ll Work With You will work with some of the best and brightest technology leaders in the industry and will be an integral part of Cisco s senior technical leadershi community. You will report to, and partner with the CX Chief Technology Officer and will work multi-functionally with senior leaders within Engineering, Customer Experience, Sales & Marketing and the broader Executive team. You will motivate, enable, inspire, and continually develop your teams while aligning to the internal Cisco engine. Who You Are You have a reputation and track record of success as an exemplary business or strategy leader with the ability to drive action. Are strategic and innovative with an external awareness to understand the nuances of building and taking sophisticated software products to market. Utilizing a consultative style, you are experienced in teaching and developing teams to think strategically and act quickly and decisively. You can collaborate, lead and work under pressure in a fast-paced matrixed organization. You possess an entrepreneurial spirit, can delegate and empower your team. You should have innovative tools for creating a learning culture within the organization and have confirmed teaming skills with peers to continue to evolve the best operating practices. Finally, you will have a level of business maturity, flexibility to change and the instincts to adapt to a high-energy, dynamic environment characterized by high growth expectations and a collaborative, innovative culture. Position Requirements * You have achieved a Bachelor's degree (MBA preferred) and are recognized as a strategic thinker in internal and external forums, with extensive technical, market and business expertise. You also have 10+ years senior technical management experience; you should possess both technology leadership and cross-functional strategy experience. * Experience advising leadership teams on emerging and important technologies and industry trends * A consistent experience developing and enabling a team of the most senior technical talent * Building and leading change with high degree of passion and a positive attitude * ing advanced analytical thought and judgment to think beyond existing solutions * Identifying, prioritizing, and delivering measurable results using sound business practices * Effectively influencing cross-functional organizations * Balancing intense short-term pressures with overall long-term goals * Conveying complex concepts in a compelling, concise, and creative way * Communicating and evangelizing the CX roadmap internally and with the industry You Are Also * A recognized leader in a forward-looking technology field * Adept in software development or have a solutions architect, or architect experience * Experienced in application architecture, design patterns, and cloud technologies * Ideally, a published technology author and patent holder We Are Cisco #WeAreCisco, where each person is unique, but we bring our talents to work as a team and make a difference powering an inclusive future for all.
