Each day, you will participate in the architectural design process and help develop collaborative solutions and presentation graphics used to communicate concepts to the client.As an Architect, you will also provide support for schematic design, design development, construction document phase, and construction phase activities.Our Architects:* Provide architectural leadership for design of predominantly industrial focused facilities for municipal and federal clients.* Develop design criteria using International Codes (with State and Local Amendments applicable to project), ADA, NFPA & OSHA.* Apply fundamental architectural design principles to the development of potentially complex solutions to complex requirements.* Develop project specifications from master specifications.* Review product or shop drawing submittals during construction phase.* Develop design concepts with in-house engineers, constructors and operators.* Deliver design solutions using multiple contract mechanisms including Design-Bid-Build, Design-Build, Design-Build-Operate, etc.* Contribute to a company dedicated to sustainable development practices.* Use knowledge of sustainable design practices, LEED rating system(s) and Guiding Principals in support of project design requirements.#bia* Bachelor's degree in Architecture from an architecturally accredited university* Professional Registered Architect (RA)* 7 years minimum of architectural practice experience* Experience in preparation of preliminary design documents and contract documents (including building code analysis, construction drawings and specifications)* Experience administering Construction Management including review of contractor submittals, RFI's and working through construction challenges* Basic 2D computer graphic skills (MicroStation, AutoCAD or Revit)* Strong written and verbal communications* Proficient in using Microsoft software tools such as MS Word, Outlook, and Excel* Willingness to travel for project assignments* Experience and willingness to direct the work of design staff and to mentor intern architectsIn addition to the basic qualifications, the preferred candidate will also have:* Experience in the design of industrial facilities for municipal and federal clients* LEED Accredited Professional credentials* Current registration in the State of California* National Council of Architectural Registration Boards (NCARB) Certification* Ability to utilize software (such as MicroStation, Revit or Sketchup) to create 3D models for conceptual design and visualization purposes.
