Join us to do the best work of your career and make a profound social impact as the lead hardware engineer within our Telecoms Infrastructure team in Austin or Boston or your most productive remote locale.Key ResponsibilitiesAs a hands-on leader, you will engage with the industrys best hardware development teams, using your skills, influence, and experience to guide the design and component selection strategy for the next generation of Telecommunications infrastructure. You will build engaging partnerships with key stakeholders both inside and outside of Dell, to ensure that "the right products are built right". You'll foster creative thinking and intellectual honesty while making and meeting challenging commitments. You will make an impact.You will:Create and reinforce the start-up culture of a new business for Dell.Lead a virtual team of compute, storage & networking technologists.Engage with strategic technology suppliers to extract the best components for inclusion in our forward-facing HW platforms.Balance between the capabilities of emerging HW architectures & the firmware/software design surface to optimally exploit both.Leverage the vast capabilities and resources of the world's largest end-to-end IT supplier.Essential RequirementsMS CS/EE and/or 10+ years directly managing the delivery of advanced technology products to market.Fluency in CPU, chipset, accelerator & connectivity silicon, and the ability to creatively combine them.Create plans, specifications & recommendations that communicate your intent and investment requirements.Model a culture of excellence, accomplishment, quality, and intellectual candor.Desirable RequirementsDesign and implementation of large-scale distributed systems, including performance, testing, fault isolation & diagnosis.Experience with secure high-speed communications interfaces, specialized processing & real-time embedded systems.Building effective partnerships with key HW and SW supplier, partner & customer technologists.
