Your Opportunity

We're looking for an experienced Product Manager who cares about solving the service performance and observability challenges faced by modern developers and operators.

How do you know if you're the right fit for this role? You have several years of software product management experience bringing new offerings to market, understand serverless architecture as well as traditional host and cloud infrastructure and the monitoring needs they all require. You empathize with developers and the reasons people are moving to the cloud and DevOps, and understand business strategy, constraints, and planning.

What You'll Do

  • Lead strategic and special projects ranging from new product and feature development to strategy creation
  • Be an inspiring leader and authority on FAAS and Infrastructure monitoring in the company and industry
  • Guide the product development organization on serverless support including AWS, Azure & Open Telemetry, cloud platforms, and DevOps through customer and market insights, driven understanding, and technical capability
  • Communicate a clear set of business priorities and customer imperatives at all times and actively work cross-departmentally to drive key trade-off decisions
  • Establish business metrics and customer/market research questions to advise optimization or new product development
  • Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Finance, and other relevant teams to provide the market context and key drivers that feed the revenue forecast and longer-term outlook and TAM. Actively engage and tackle for business limiters within your control and pursue accelerants.
  • Understand and meticulously think through every aspect of the overall customer experience, putting users' needs first in the definition of requirements.
  • Continuously seek improvements to the customer experience working with the UX and Engineering team to better drive the business and/or company goals.
  • Serve as key spokesperson for the business, delivering clear, compelling communications across New Relic and outside the company to garner any support required to successfully implement the business

Your Qualifications

  • 7 years experience product managing software products; bonus if those were monitoring or technical products built for developers
  • Ability to distill sophisticated topics and feedback into clear, prioritized, business or user cases and product requirements
  • Need to have direct customer facing experience along with:
  • Experience collaborating with agile development teams and handling a backlog
  • Experience working in medium-to-large software companies
  • Experience working on or leading enterprise/business-to-business products
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to lead via influence, perseverance and determination
  • Excellent analytical/problem-solving skills, including data analysis
  • Background in SaaS and cloud-based software
  • Participation in all stages of the software development lifecycle
