The position applies system administration skills to operating core infrastructure components by performing Linux troubleshooting and configuration, account management, software installation and system monitoring support for dynamic lab environments. Interact and collaborate directly with senior-level IT system architects on new designs and processes.

The candidate must have experience working in an AWS environment.
Provision virtual machines and perform bare-metal OS installations with CentOS Linux & Windows
Lab customer and end user support
Add, remove, and modify local and centralized user accounts/identities
Acknowledge, categorize, and provide basic triage for incoming tickets
Physical configuration support on lab floors: rearrange lab consoles, workstations, cabling
Provide data center operations support: server tagging and racking, network patching and cable management
Update property and data center management systems
Monitor compute systems (up/down, threshold) and network resources and perform basic troubleshooting
Provide basic Linux OS support: user environments, dotfiles, X/Wayland configs, ssh, routing yum installs/updates
Ensure on-site and remote backup and restore systems are operational
