This is an intermediate level position and the individual will work with a team of engineers and technicians responsible for validating the SnapAV product portfolio, including, but not limited to, defining and implementing field test requirements and driving cross-functional teams to ensure the required functionalities are available for early field testing. The Product Validation Technician II will also cover the robustness of mission-critical features that must always work (First Mile concept) and voice of the partner/end user experience aspects. A successful individual will need to be able to move fluidly through a variety of assignments working effectively with minimal supervision, strong analytical skills, and good judgment to determine right priorities for validation activities. The Product Validation Technician II should be easy to do business with, embracing the golden rule of always asking how we can be better and treating everyone as a customer.+ Own assigned products understanding priorities, delivering key insights to leadership, and creating clear goals to deliver+ Be an expert in product features and have a robust understanding of roadmap/prioritization to best engage with participants during interactions+ Evaluate products and processes for continuous improvement opportunities and communicate/collaborate with+ stakeholders and partners cross-functionally advocating for the best customer experience to enhance efficiencies and scalability+ Communicate defect and root cause information to engineers, customers/dealers, tech support and suppliers+ Troubleshoot, install and setup of various residential automation electronic systems+ The role will cover projects from full new product development, to product feature development and revisions of hardware or software updates or product pilots+ Manage all the above aspects or may be part of a team with a lead program manager to deliver the scope, depending on the size and complexity of the programRequired Qualifications+ 3+ years of relevant experience in various residential automation electronic systems, including:+ Audio/video+ Lighting+ Shades+ Climate control+ Security+ Commercial+ Networks+ 3+ years of experience installing various high-end control systems+ Experience with PROs (dealers), installation and technical support of consumer electronics products+ Ability to travel and participate in after-hours work, as needed+ Willingness to install product in your own homePreferred Qualifications+ Associates degree in a Technology or Engineering discipline or similar vocational education+ Experience debugging and troubleshooting Control4 and SnapAV productsSnapAV is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
