Due to our talented workforce, we have maintained a reputation for excellence, helping to assure the missions of our Department of Defense, Public Sector, Fortune 1000, and other Government and commercial customers.Smartronix is looking for an Application Administrator to join our team.Essential functions include:Perform the installation, integration, configuration, testing, documentation, troubleshooting, security implementation, and configuration management of statistical analysis software and application settings on Windows and Linux-based serversMonitor and maintain web application environment stabilityManage the functionality and efficiency of applications hosted by multiple Windows-based and Linux serversMaintain system documentation, application documentation, and standard operating proceduresOperate as an applications Subject Matter Expert to promote successful cloud environment implementationCoordinate with application vendor for deployment support, troubleshooting, and tuning when requiredAdditional responsibilities include:Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to the functionality and efficiency Windows and Linux servers by analyzing logs, overall connectivity, and any errors reportedProvide direct support through a ticketing system to application owners, developers, government entities and related internal and external teamsAdminister policies and standards related to DISA Security Technical Implementation Guidance (STIG)Coordinate with customers to perform software security testing and scansEvening/weekend on-site support for upgrades/patching may be requiredRequired ExperienceRequired Experience:A minimum of 7 years relevant experience is required5 years of combined experience in with Microsoft Server Operating Systems, Red Hat Linux, or similar system environments is preferred5 years of experience with LAMP/WAMP/WISA stack or similar web system environments (Microsoft IIS, Apache, Tomcat) is desired5 years of experience implementing and configuring web applications using various technologies such as .NET, Java, XML, Oracle Weblogic, or similar application layers is desiredExperience with Apache Kafka preferredPossess strong troubleshooting skillsCompTIA Security+ certification is requiredEducation :BS or BA degree in Computer Science, Information Systems/Technology, Engineering, Business, or Mathematics.
