Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking a System Engineer. This position will be located in Roy, UT and will be part of the Ground Based Strategic Deterrent (GBSD) program (Minuteman III ICBM replacement) development contract. What you will get to do: Aerospace Vehicle Equipment (AVE) Targeting Systems Engineer is a member of the AVE Modeling Simulation and Analysis (AVE MS&A) team responsible for AVE level Targeting software algorithms development and validation. This includes development of Targeting software algorithms and Algorithms Description Document (ADD). It also includes development of a scientific targeting software tool and a 6 Degrees of Freedom (6DoF) missile trajectory simulation tool to test and validate the algorithms. UTSpace Qualifications: You'll Bring These Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in engineering disciplines from an accredited university with minimum 2 years of experience or Master's degree
Active US DoD Secret or Top Secret clearance Strong programming skills, with experience in C++ Experience with at least one software development platforms such as Git, Bitbucket, SVN, etc. These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have: Experience with ballistic missile modeling, trajectory simulation, navigation and guidance
Experience with 6DoF aerospace vehicle simulation
Experience with aerospace vehicle modeling and trajectory simulation
Coursework in dynamics and numerical methods/analysis
