Do you share our belief?Meraki is looking for an experienced Head of Product Marketing to lead a team of global product marketers. This role requires a balanced blend of product marketing, team development and creative storytelling. Relevant experience in the area of IT, networking, software and portfolio positioning will be needed to support a rapidly growing Meraki business! This role will drive consistency in product marketing processes and deliverables for product launches and general releases. As part of the Merakis Global Market Strategy team, this leader will collaborate with Audience, Solution and Customer marketing leaders to develop go-to-market strategies. This experienced leader must be able to use empirical data, customer stories and market evidence to articulate a differentiated platform position that addresses business, technical and operational pain points.As the Head of Product Marketing, this leader will be responsible for driving a comprehensive positioning strategy that includes a thorough understanding of the competitive landscape across the Meraki portfolio. Just as importantly, you and your team will lead the development of sales and channel partner enablement materials in support of the entire Meraki product portfolio.You will report to the Global Head of Market Strategy and will have an active role in all facets of product positioning ensuring our value and differentiation lands in all relevant marketing activities. As part of the Market Strategy leadership team, you will also interact with product management leaders and manage, mentor and lead a team of product marketing managers.This role is based in the Mission Bay, San Francisco office and will support global teams. Up to 25% travel is envisioned although, at least initially, must be able to remote work with teams in the US and UK.What You'll DoBecome a specialist in all things related to the Meraki product portfolio and cloud management and how it threads through the entire marketing processDevelop thorough, product level expertise for the Meraki portfolio being able to articulate how it can be positioned to global audiences and to a variety of BDM / TDM personasDistill and communicate complex information for Sales, Marketing, Partners and customersWork with product management and Market Strategy leaders to craft messaging for the Meraki portfolioDeliver business, technical and operational feedback to stakeholdersBe a trusted product positioning advisor to the wider marketing team to conceptualize and collaborate on marketing campaignsDevelop thoughtful, customer / market oriented content for campaignsEvangelize the Cisco Meraki vision at industry eventsDrive and build in-depth product collateral and tools for some of the largest enterprise customer organizations in the worldDevelop content targeting Business Decision Makers, IT architects, industry organizations using a variety of marketing tactics (e.g. webinars, blogs, articles, etc.)Build, develop and mentor a product marketing team ensuring a continuous evolution of skills, professional growth and expanded responsibilitiesWho You Are10+ years of proven experience in the networking space gained through Product Marketing, Solution marketing or Technical SalesConfirmed leader with a track record for team developmentMetrics oriented approach to continuous improvement of product messaging and marketing tacticsUnderstand the in-depth business, technical and operational practices of global IT, Public Sector, Commercial and/or Small, Mid-Size and global Enterprise BusinessesStrong ability to translate technical features into differentiated value and business benefits to all types of audiencesExcellent communicator, creative problem solver, risk-taker, innovative thinker, consensus builder, motivator, assertive leaderComfortable leading and collaborating in an Agile Marketing environmentBachelor's Degree required, MBA or Masters Degree a plus!Experience working in the IT or networking industry in a requirementUp to 25% travel required& Cisco is an Affirmative Action and Equal Opportunity Employer and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, gender, sexual orientation, national origin, genetic information, age, disability, veteran status, or any other legally protected basis.
