Description Description:SAIC is looking foraSystems Administrator to support the US Navy inCrane, IN.JOB DESCRIPTION:Performsystems administration for software security protocols, test and correctprograms, document changes, modify programs to increase operating efficiency orto respond to changes in work processes, and maintains records to documentprogram development and revisions.Monitorthe operation of assigned systems and programs and diagnose and correct errorsin logic and proceduresTest,document work, write and maintain operator instructions for assigned programs.Workindependently under specified objectives; apply judgment in devising programlogic and in selecting and adapting standard programming procedures, resolveproblems and deviations according to established practices, and obtain advicewhere precedents are unclear or not available.JOB DUTIES:Providessupport in the configuration and maintenance of desk tops, laptops, andperforms software installation.Providessupport in the area of Information Assurance (IA) support ensuring that allnecessary patches and upgrades have been properly installed and configured.Performsscanning (with ACAS and SCAP) and other means of validation to identifypotential threats as well as confirming proper configuration (STIGs areimplemented) has been met.Areasof support include Windows based systems, Linux / UNIX variants, Networks, anddatabase products.Performworkstation server network, and application scanning to determine vulnerabilityrisks that may exist.Reviewand identify known risks according to Cyber Security requirements and mitigateknown risks acceptable levels as determined by the ISSO to reduce thelikelihood of risk to the system.Supportthe design, development, and integration of software/hardware basedsolutions.Installsoftware application that provide or enhance the security of individualplatforms, systems, and/or networks.Conductanalyses and record findings on current patch compliance status of computersfor use in the Assessment & Authorization process.Applyappropriate updates to systems as required to maintain CS compliance inaccordance with DOD directives.Supportgovernment personnel in the administration and information removal of harddrive, tape, and optical disc in accordance with local and DOD policy toenhance the data integrity of the system.Configureand implement CS Assessment & Authorization security controls in accordancewith local procedures.Qualifications REQUIREDEXPERIENCE AND CLEARANCE:HS/GEDand seven (7) years' experience or Associates and five (5) years' experience orBachelors and three (3) years' experience. Bachelor'sDegree in Computer Science or related degree and three (3) year's in computerprogramming preferred. Preferredexperience in Linux and Windows Systems Manager, 8570 Certification / IAT LevelII Expertise; ALM-290 Test Set Depot Repair ALM-286 Test Set Depot Repair,Microsoft Office Products, ACAS/NESSUS, DISA STIGS Visual Programming (VB Net,Visual Studio, etc.) Candidatemust be a US Citizen. ActiveSecret Clearance preferred.Mustbe able to obtain a Full DOD SecretSecurity Clearance.
