This position is responsible for developing, implementing and communicating product strategy, positioning, and pricing in support of market share goals and target profitability.
Provides passionate, visionary leadership and guidance in the identification of innovative new products and services and is the product champion with technical understanding of all products and applications.
Establishes, controls and monitors product and services pricing to achieve company margin and profit objectives. Develops and monitors system/process for analysis and management of product costs and gross margins.
Provides passionate and visionary leadership and guidance in the identification of innovative new products and services.
Key contributor to the companies gross margin performance. Manage product portfolio inclusive of costs, attributes, features and pertinent aspects to ensure target profitability and bookings goals are achieved.
Own New Product Development (NPD) from concept/ opportunity to commercialization.
Develop and implement Go-to market strategies including product strategy and product portfolio roadmaps.
Work closely with Operations, Supply Chain and Engineering to achieve the desired product quality standards at agreed upon cost levels.
Coordinate product trials and develop detailed case studies incorporating process conditions by market and market sub-type.
Develop objective, fact-based Business Case analyses, in collaboration with Engineering product development teams to address and fulfil the unmet needs of target market segments and/or customers.
Ensure consistent competitive advantage by implementing programs that support strategic initiatives; monitor and report status. Keep abreast of emerging pump technologies and product development within our industry and ensure a continuing leadership position. Be an expert with respect to the competition.
Identify new product development opportunities, product portfolio road map, and supplement the voice of the customer.
Identifies initiatives in engineering and manufacturing to enhance product features, product offering and margin improvements.
Create a strategic marketing plan that outlines market segments, targets, key points of differentiation and positioning to address competitive and other market forces.
Formulate, manage, and report market assessments, competitive intelligence and evaluations, industry data/ insight, and customer needs analyses to enable cogent, fact-based business decision-making.
Collaborate with other marketing team members on trade show execution as well as updating and/or providing sales collateral, trade-related material, and content for publication and social media outlets, inclusive of success stories and editorials.
Provide training to field sales, representatives and other stakeholders including inside sales, on assigned products, services and internal processes; coordinates, maintains and updates training content.
Ensure adherence to corporate and product brand guidelines; ensure messaging is consistent and relevant.
Maintain strong relationships with pertinent industry contacts and trade associations to increase market share and brand awareness.
Maintain and manage the commercial toolkit, including value proposition, product information, training materials, etc., in support of company objectives and initiatives.
Provide technical insight and support to sales organization to drive commercial success.
Identifies and builds relationships with OEMs.
Maintains strong working relationships with cross-functional teams to drive company and departmental initiatives.
Take ownership of assigned duties and drive action throughout the organization to satisfy customer expectations and requirements.
Comply with all department and company policies, procedures and programs.

Minimum BA or BS degree, or equivalent experience, in Marketing, Business or related field of study.
Minimum 3 to 5 years of product marketing or product management experience.
Minimum 5 years pump industry experience.
Excellent oral and written persuasive communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
Strong problem solving and analytical skills with the ability to formulate well documented, fact-based reports.
Ability to extract and procure data from databases and other sources to provide cogent, objective analysis.
Advanced skills in the use of Excel, Power Point, and Word.
