Salesforce Integration Engineer (Philadelphia)Global Asset ManagerJ Harlan Group is currently conducting a search for a Salesforce Integration Engineer to join a global technology team that supports the investment platform of a Global Asset Manager. A great opportunity for a strong Salesforce Integration / Development Engineer with a desire to work within the investment environment for a global asset manager and enjoy seeing, firsthand, how their efforts contribute to the business. This hands-on strategic position provides the opportunity to deliver Salesforce solutions and will enable the engineer to contribute significantly to the success of the business globally. Principal Responsibilities:As a Salesforce Integration Engineer you will be shaping the technology architecture for a new global Salesforce instance and working collaboratively with various teams across the broader groupIn this role, you will join a global team where you will leverage your analysis, design, coding, and collaboration skills to create both in-house and customer-facing applications, leveraging the Salesforce platform. You will develop solutions in well-organized, constantly improving Agile team in which each members' contributions and suggestions for optimizing productivity and effectiveness are highly valued. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Your core responsibility will be to uplift a new global Salesforce instance ensuring compliance to internal and external policies and standards, support feature team development and provide innovative solutions to business needs.You will also share responsibility towards quality delivery, CI/CD, production support and continuous improvement of the delivery process. Using your hands-on programming experience in Salesforce, you will be able to contribute to on-going development. Key responsibilities include:Designing clean, efficient, robust, and reliable solutions that deliver on requirementsAdvising on Salesforce centric designs, that are secure, stable, and scalableHands on Salesforce development including APEX, Batch, Integration and Lightning frameworksDeveloping, maintaining, and continuously improving DevOps methods and practicesProviding guidance on quality engineering which includes test class and automation frameworks.The ideal candidate would have a background including:An in-depth understanding of development practices, familiarity with modern software development and design concepts across multiple object-oriented languages, as well as a passion for technology innovation that will allow you to harness emerging technology trends to deliver solutions to their business in an efficient and agile manner.Development experience in a large organization within a complex technology landscape, that includes Salesforce experienceStrong understanding of Salesforce data model and data architecture principlesStrong understanding of Salesforce declarative capabilities, and ability to determine right customization approachHands on experience authoring APEX classes, Triggers, Batch APEX, and Lightning ComponentsGood understanding of authentication, authorization, and security patternsHands on experience working with IDE, version control and CI/CD infrastructurePractical familiarity with microservices architecture concepts, including API gateways, security, scaling and resiliency, and operational monitoringUnderstanding of managed packages and its coexistence with existing Salesforce environmentsexperience working in a fast-paced agile delivery environment and managing work via JIRA or a similar tracking toolA high degree of curiosity, and a strong commitment to keeping at the forefront of Salesforce technologies and modern development practices.
