Applied Research Associates, Inc. (ARA) has an opening for an occasional (less than part time) intern who is passionate about software development and wants to learn/contribute to the modeling and simulation of Department of Defense weapon system simulations. This position will require telework due to current world conditions; however, applicant must be within a short driving distance of ARA's Emerald Coast Division in the city of Niceville, Florida for occasional in-person meetings. Selected applicant will learn to work with applications built on the Endgame Framework architecture, which is a cutting-edge software architecture that has a long history supporting the Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL) at Eglin Air Force Base. Applicants should possess a good knowledge of software constructs and programming concepts using C++ in an object-oriented architecture. Applicants should also have good communication skills and a working knowledge of Visual Studio.
