Job DescriptionWhat Youll Get to Do:The Data Analytics Software Developer is responsible for developing, integrating and deploying data science applications or enhancement to COTS products that support the discovery of information hidden in vast amounts of data and diverse data sets.This includes applying natural language processing, data mining techniques, statistical analysis, and machine learning integrated with our analytical and visualization tools.More About the Role:Data Analytics Software Developer will support Analytics and Business Intelligence development and will focus on providing development support to a team of data analysts. The Data Analytics Software Developer is responsible for:Writing effective, scalable codeDeveloping back-end components to improve responsiveness and overall performanceImplementing NLP and data mining solutions using state-of-the-art methodsImplementing audio processing tools (e.g., speech-to-text, speaker identification, language recognition, etc.)Implementing web services such as REST or SOAPIntegrating user-facing elements into applicationsTesting and debugging programsImproving the functionality of existing systemsImplementing security and data protection solutionsContinually interacting with teams to design and implement innovative solutions that will provide key decision-making abilitiesCreating, updating, and maintaining technical documentation including process diagrams, fully documented code, and system documentation as it relates to implementation, maintenance, and optimizationSelecting features, building and optimizing classifiers using machine learning techniquesDeveloping tools for data processing, data cleansing, and verification of the integrity of data prior to analysisYoull Bring These Qualifications:US Citizenship RequiredMasters degree or equivalent, and 10 years of applicable experience.Strong experience with one or more of the following languages: Python, JAVA, or .NETUnderstanding of multi-process architecture and process threadingAble to integrate multiple data sources and databases into one systemExperience with data visualization tools, such as D3.js.Understanding of accessibility and security complianceKnowledge of user authentication and authorization between multiple systems, servers, and environmentsUnderstanding of fundamental design principles behind a scalable applicationFamiliarity with event-driven programmingUnderstanding of the differences between multiple delivery platforms, such as mobile vs desktop, and optimizing output to match the specific platformAbility to create database schemas that represent and support business processesStrong unit test and debugging skillsKnowledge of object-relational mapping (ORM)Familiarity with front-end technologies (like JavaScript and HTML5)Good problem-solving skillsGreat communication skillsExcellent understanding of machine learning techniques and algorithmsExperience with one or more NLP toolkits (e.g., Python NLTK, Spacy)Experience with common data science toolkits (e.g., Python, Weka, NumPy, MatLab, etc.)Proficiency in using query languages such as SQL (SQL Server, Teradata, DB2, Oracle, MySQL, or PostgreSQL)Experience with NoSQL databases, such as MongoDB, CassandraGood applied statistics skills, such as distributions, statistical testing, regression, etc.Data-oriented personalityThese Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:Experience developing and implementing software in enterprise systems in AWS or Microsoft Azure cloud environmentsExperience with graph databases (Neo4j/Cypher, Aster, etc.)Experience with litigation support, investigations, or administering Litigation Support toolsPhysical Demands:Normal demands associated with an office environment.Ability to work on computer for long periods, and communicate with individuals by telephone, email and face to face.Some travel may be required.What We Can Offer You:Weve been named a Best Place to Work by the Washington Post.Our employees value the flexibility at CACI that allows them to balance quality work and their personal lives.We offer competitive benefits and learning and development opportunities.We are mission-oriented and ever vigilant in aligning our solutions with the nations highest priorities.For over 55 years, the principles of CACIs unique, character-based culture have been the driving force behind our success.Job LocationUS-Washington-DC-WASHINGTON DCCACI employs a diverse range of talent to create an environment that fuels innovation and fosters continuous improvement and success.
