Job Description

Job Summary:Provide support to the day to day operations of the Ecosystem Sustainment LOB.Job Duties and Responsibilities: Support DB2 databases according to DoD standards and include industry best practices to provide a secure environment for server database functionality. Full lifecycle support for DB2 database systems will be provided to include: initial installation and configuration of database technologies to deploy engineered system design solutions; daily operations, administration, and management of database technologies for the sustainment of database system availability, reliability, performance and security; and 24x7x365 issue/incident response, analysis, and resolution services supporting system return to operations. Provide support for RDBMS software and component technologies installation and configuration. Provide support for database storage, memory, network, and security configuration and management by collaborating on database systems settings through technical discussions with application administrators, storage administrators, database administrators, and system administrators. Provide support for database file and RDBMS configuration, backup and restoration by collaborating on database systems. Provide support for database archive log, redo log and redo segment configuration, management and troubleshooting by collaborating with various teams. Provide support for planning and execution of RDBMS version upgrades and patches carried out as a documented process to ensure tasks are executed in an orderly and predictable manner. Provide support for data migration management for movement or exporting as associated with RDBMS version upgrades or patches.Job Requirements (Education/Skills/Experience):Skills Required:Good analytical and reporting skillsGood communication skills.Good documentation and process skills.Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook)Experience with Remedy IT Ticketing system.Technical Skills Required:Experience supporting DB2 DatabasesMicrosoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook)InternetSharePointContract Requirements:IAT I Qualifying CertificateSecret Clearance/U.S. citizenshipMinimum level of Education:Bachelors degree or relevant experience in lieu of a college degree.
