Company paid training opportunities Family owned and Operated Travel throughout Minnesota and the Dakotas Responsibilities: The purpose of this position is to estimate, prepare and manage proposal documents for state, county, commercial and municipal projects. This includes: Job tracking/reporting Construction project management. Attend bid lettings and pre-construction meetings. Oversees work of crews engaged in road construction projects. Plans, leads, directs and performs surveying, layout and construction of project. Operates heavy equipment involved in road construction. Keeps accurate records to describe and certify work performed; completes required paperwork accurately and on time. Confers with project personnel to provide technical advice and resolve problems. Performing other tasks as needed. Complying with Company Safety Program. Class A CDL is preferred but not required. Requirements: Excellent negotiating and communication skills. Well organized with strong attention to detail skills. Self-directed. Strong PC skills including MS Word, Excel and estimating software specific to the highway heavy industry. Above average math skills. Ability to resolve conflicts. Ability to work cooperatively with others. Satisfactory driving record. **Candidates with a 4-year Construction Management degree or the equivalent in work related experience within the industry is preferred but not required.
