Nesco Resource is seeking a Project Analyst for a well-regarded biotechnology company in the Albany area. This is a one year contract position with the potential for longer-term or permanent hire.
The Project Analyst is responsible for supporting key functions within the QA Operations and Validation organization.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
Mining and compiling data pertaining for the calculation of KPI Metrics, in the ongoing pursuit of operational excellence
Development of Client tools to facilitate data capture and manipulation using Microsoft Excel and Access
Creation of both high-level and detailed presentations and reports
Organizing and facilitating meetings, as well as the capture and distribution of meeting minutes
Managing the fulfillment of action items and facilitating any necessary follow-ups
Collaborating with technical writing staff on the creation and editing of documents, such as Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's).
Assisting with the planning and execution of departmental events, such as team building, lunch and learns, staff meetings, and more.
Managing all departmental administrative functions, including assistance with expense reports, travel planning, incident reports, departmental memos, and more.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in a business/IT concentration and 1+ years' experience in an business analytics or data management role. Background in process improvement is a plus.
Knowledge, skills and abilities:
Intermediate level Excel skills, particularly in the use of formulas to manipulate data
Understanding of basic programming concepts (i.e. use of conditional IF/THEN logic)
Knowledge of the basics behind database operation is a plus
Ability to work independently with moderate supervision
Ability to work well under time constraints
Demonstrated attention to detail and organizational skills
Demonstrated strong verbal and written communication skills
