Associates in this new business segment (Author by Humana) are creating a customer-back experience designed to foster a trusting relationship with seniors to help them achieve their best health. Author operates independently with a startup-like mentality, and the enthusiastic support and backing of Humana and its board, with the goal of changing the healthcare industry from managing transactions to supporting a members whole health. Responsibilities As the AVP of Product, you will be responsible for defining and leading the execution of the roadmap for a unified user experience across our applications and services. Partnering closely with the Health, Marketing, Operations and Technology teams, you will drive the development of consistent, intuitive, and seamless experiences, while leading our dynamic product team. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Own strategic product planning and execution against our product roadmaps. Establish a shared vision across stakeholders by building consensus on the priorities and goals. Oversee full digital product life cycle stages through product inception, design, development, testing, implementation and validation of desired outcomes. Balance an innovative mindset with user-centered solutions that translate to positive, personalized experiences for members, associates and providers. Identify cutting edge innovations and encourage experiments designed to increase customer value over the digital product roadmap. Constantly evaluate the impact of products & solutions by creating clearly defined logical criteria balanced with instinct and intuition. Ensure solutions align with Edges overall vision. Model Delivery Excellence through strong collaborative relationships with functional leaders across the organization as well as with external stakeholders. Build a consistent organization-wide product delivery roadmap; establish aligned processes for maintenance and execution. Lead an agile, staged development process (e.g., build / test / learn sprints) to create solutions aligning to Edges unique mission. Ensure platform buildouts and migrations are modular, scalable and adaptable. Influence product teams and IT to adopt agile approaches to improve the efficiency of workflow between development and design. Inform executives and leadership of progress made on key success metrics. Proactively identify issues that will keep specific products from delivering on time, inspire team to assess alternatives to resolve and build a plan for resolution. Evaluate, leverage and manage the right external partnerships as well as key internal relationships to confirm optimal delivery of care to our members. Extensive experience in product management in dynamic, high-reaching environments, including at least 10+ years of success in building, developing, retaining, and leading teams. 5+ years experience launching healthcare products and platforms / deep healthcare domain experience and expertise. Demonstrable experience in Agile Methodologies including SAFe. Proven success in creating a roadmap, vision, and strategy for an entire product portfolio. Exceptional leadership and ownership skills, with a track record of influencing all levels of an organization. Strong technical acumen with proven ability of working seamlessly with engineering teams. Familiarity or expertise with technology, design research, design strategy, service design, UX / UI design, software development. Self-starter, comfortable with ambiguity and building supporting guardrails, structures and processes. Flexible and willing to play any role that the team needs as it grows - no job is too big or too small.
