Candidates who express an interest may be considered for future positions at Northrop Grumman.Responsibilities for this Pipeline requisition are:The qualified applicant will support application and environment assessment tasks and "Cloud Smart" strategies to promote cloud adoption at the CDC. These projects will assist the U.S. Government in assessing, planning, and moving applications to the cloud, resulting in improved efficiency, agility, and innovation.* Lead comprehensive analysis and gain understanding of the current environment in order to recommend which on-premise technical resources are best suited for the cloud.* Perform comprehensive planning for cloud migration that supports cost-effective, secure, and agile IT management.* Provide a migration plan with recommendations for application migration that encompasses the appropriate service models (SaaS, PaaS, or IaaS), and deployment model (private, public, community, etc.) of all services to be migrated, as well as rationale for the recommended cloud models.* Provide all support operations necessary to fully develop and deliver services for the appropriate phases (Inventory, Application Mapping, Migration Planning, and Execution) for CDC application cloud migration tasks.* Understand system dependencies and oversee transition of specified applications, solutions, and services to the cloud.* Maintain technical expertise relevant to industry standards and in cloud computing such as cloud service provider architecture, cloud deployment models, cloud service delivery models, automation, hypervisors, containers, virtual compute, storage, networks, virtual infrastructure management, self-provisioning, and scaling.* Evaluate and report on new cloud and virtualization technologies to enhance capabilities of cloud- based and virtualized services.* Work with the stakeholders to define key capabilities and performance requirements, ensure requirements are met, and evaluate performance with customer.* Define implementation architectures using a deep expertise in the AWS technologies, as well as broad know-how around how applications and services are constructed using the AWS platform.* Provide technical services regarding security and privacy in the migration planning services that are consistent with NIST Special Publication 800-144.* May lead other aspects of the project, operational requirements, work assignments, sprint planning, hosting, and system performance to keep up with changing requirements and varying volumes of data.* Require and support team's use of secure coding practices to ensure protection of all PHI/PII.Basic Qualifications:* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems Management, Mathematics, Operations Research, Statistics, or Engineering with a minimum of 9 years of experience* Certified AWS Cloud Practitioner, or holds any other Associate-Level or Professional-Level AWS certification* 3 years' experience with Agile and DevOps SDLC methodologies* 3 years' experience with Microsoft .Net or JAVA* 3 years of ASP.Net development (C#) with Microsoft Visual Studio tool configuration* 3 years' experience with concepts such as microservices (including scalability best practices), containers, and container orchestration using Docker or Kubernetes* 3 years' experience with Git based version control software such as GitLab, GitHub, Git CI/CD pipelines and managing GitOPS process for branching , merging and releasing software* 3 years' experience in creating API design/technical documentation (Raml, swagger) and messaging protocols such as AMQP (Rabbitmq, Kafka)* Proficiency with virtualization technologies such as VMware, vSphere, vCenter Server, ESXi, vRealize Cloud Suite* Solid experience with Amazon Web Services and the tools necessary to assess system performance, ensure scalability, monitor system and data security* Experience developing, managing, and operating CI/CD pipelines that align to a hosted environment's DEVOPS framework* Experience in creating build scripts, deployment scripts, and automating throughout the CI/CD pipeline* Experience in building metrics, logging, analytics and alerting for performance and security across all endpoints and servicesPreferred Qualifications:* Associate-Level AWS Certified Developer or similar Associate-Level or Professional-Level AWS certification* Prior CDC and Public Health experience* Experience with FedRAMP-certified environments and understanding of standardized security assessment, authorization, and continuous monitoring policies in migration planning servicesNorthrop Grumman is committed to hiring and retaining a diverse workforce.
