Description: Title: Lead, Systems EngineerPosition: AS20200###-####2Location: Plano, TXJob Description:As a Lead, Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for leading a Systems Engineering team in design, development, implementation, testing and analysis of technical radar and sensors products and systems to support the vital missions of our warfighters. This position supports the Advanced Systems & Technologies (AS&T) division, which specializes in developing disruptive, next-generation technologies advanced radar systems, next-generation weapon systems, and other RF sensor technologies using small company agility and big company experience.Essential Functions:Requirements definition, flow-down and traceability for complex electronic systemsPlan cost, schedule and execution plan of complex development and test activitiesDevelop, track and present technical performance metricsPerform risk assessment and develop mitigation strategies for complex projectsLead Systems Engineering Integrated Product TeamSystem design synthesis of complex electronic systemsPerform trade studies on a variety of system issues and componentsPerform design verification testing efforts including lab, chamber, ground and captive flight testAnalyze data from design verification test effortsDevelop and run simulations and other analysis tools to predict system performance in various environmentsPresent results during internal and external program meetingsParticipate in proposal activities both cost and technicalOther duties as assignedQualifications:U.S. citizenExisting DoD clearance with a current 5-year update; must be able to obtain additional clearances as requiredBachelor?s degree in Engineering or Science8 - 13 years of experience in a related engineering field with some systems engineering experienceExperience in design, development and/or testing of radar and/or other RF systemFamiliarity with radar system components including antenna, receiver, exciter, and processorRequirements definition, flow-down and traceabilityDefense industry experienceDesign to costWorking knowledge of military standardsProficiency with Microsoft Office productsMust be able to travel 10% to support field testingPreferred Additional Skills:Master?s degree in Engineering or ScienceFamiliarity with a variety of radar types and modesPrevious experience with guided weapons and/or weapon systemsProficient with MATLABDOORsCost account manager experienceEVMSExcellent people skills, with experience leading and collaborating in a multi-disciplinary, diverse, and dynamic team environment.Outstanding work ethic and commitment to organizational successExcellent communication skills (written, verbal, & presentation)
