As an Information Systems Administrator in our Silver Spring, MD office, you ll be responsible for day-to-day tasks ranging from Tier 2/3 user support for both software and hardware on PC and Mac to Active Directory and networking administration.
Altarum s Corporate Information Technology department supports 4 domestic locations, 200+ servers, and 400+ internal users. You ll be part of a close knit team of IT professionals working together as efficiently as possible, and ultimately ensuring that our infrastructure departments and elite team of proof editors, graphic designers, video editors, researchers and healthcare analysts have all of the tools that they need to fulfill our mission of serving the public good to improve human health.
On a day-to-day basis, you re going to work in a fast-paced environment and collaborate with IT colleagues on multiple simultaneous projects maintenance, upgrades, and enhancements of our infrastructure. And you ll also be providing Tier 2/3 Service Desk support for company personnel based in Ann Arbor, MI, Portland, ME, Silver Spring, MD, and Washington, DC, as well as over 50+ remote staff. Your interactions with employees will be tracked through our Service Desk ticketing system. When required, you ll also be able to push software, update inventory, remotely manage machines. We also expect you to grow professionally and technically - you ll have the opportunity to attend a paid training class or industry conference each year, and you ll play an active role in our internal cross-training exercises.
