Description Silicon Valley Bank is looking for an experiencedMarketing Sr. UX/UI Designer to join our Marketing Channel team within the SVB Performance Marketing organization. You should have a solid foundation in a user-centered design process, and the confidence to collaborate with various internal stakeholders and performance marketers to create exceptional digital client experiences. In this role you will lead UX/UI activities on marketing focused projects and collaborate on an interdisciplinary team. You should have an interest in all things digital, a natural curiosity in what makes users tick, and a growing ability to translate business goals into intuitive digital experiences.
You also possess superior UX/UI skills and are able to translate high-level requirements into interaction flows and design artifacts.You have aproven track record of building data-driven and impactful digital client experiences. You havea strong understanding and aptitude for external digital and industry trends and can translate such trends into actionable opportunities. You're comfortable in a highgrowth mindset and company.
Responsibilities
- Lead and execute UX/UI activities including audits, user research, research analysis, ideation, whiteboarding, usability testing, and collaborative design thinking sessions
- Execute on all design stages, from sitemaps and wireframes, to high fidelity visual design
- Develop detailed client personas, client user journeys, informationarchitecture, interactive prototypes, user research plans, and reports
- Validate concepts through usability testing and contribute to the design and execution of user testing scenarios
- Participate in Agile ways of working in a cross-functional pod focused on building digital marketing capabilities and marketing campaigns
- Drive continual design innovation in for SVB in our marketing earned owned and paid channels
- Stay informed on new technologies, trends, and developments within the design community and share those findings internally
Practice Development
- Contribute to the development of standards, governance and frameworks for UX Design
- Contribute to the definition of UX measurement goals

UX/UI Design
- As part of a marketing cross-functional team, lead and execute UX activities including audits, user research, research analysis, ideation, sketching, usability testing, and collaborative design thinking sessions within Marketing
- Execute on all design stages, from sitemaps and wireframes, to high fidelity visual design
- Develop detailed client personas, client journeys, informationarchitecture, interactive prototypes, user research plans, and reports
- Articulate design rationale in the context of business and user needs
- Evaluate client research, analyze, and share insights around clients' motivations, goals, and behaviors. Collaborate with ourCX teams aroundclient journeys and insights
- Contribute towards the creation of design solutions that address client needs and strategic client objectives.
- Ensure to communicate design decisions through frameworks, wireframes, and prototypes.
- Validate concepts through usability testing and contribute to the design and execution of user testing scenarios.
Measurement/Optimization
- Stay informed on new technologies, trends, and developments within the design community and share those findings internally
- Evaluate performance and insights to identify opportunities to improve client experience journeys
- Collaborate w/ other performance marketing teams such as analytics and channel marketing to measure and optimize existing designs
Qualifications - 8+ years of UX/UI design experience, ideally within marketing
- 5+ years of UX/UI experience working on responsive web, mobile, or software projects.
- Experience with usability testing
- A strong portfolio of digital design work
- Strong experience in agile/scrum environments
- Experience working on medium to large-sized projects and teams, preferably in an agency environment. Relevant experience working in digital, or specific UX-related training at workshops, boot camps, etc. also considered.
- Preferred Degree in interaction design or in a related field such as graphic design
- Preferred Strong background in graphic design, motion graphics or other creative background.
- 3+ years in B2B marketing / financial services is preferred
- Familiarity with Agile methodology
- Proven track record of building data-driven impactful digital experiences
- Mastery of at least two pillars of UX (research, information architecture, UI, or interaction design), and desire to master other disciplines within the field
- Deep knowledge across the full range of UX activities and methodologies including user research, usability testing, information architecture, interaction design, prototyping, and design systems
- Proficient in some of the standard software tools (Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch, Figma, InVision, Axure, Confluence, JIRA, etc.)
- Experience with facilitating design thinking sessions
- Detail-oriented, analytical thinker with strongproblem solvingabilities
- Ability tomulti-task and flex to meet shifting deadlines
- Strong verbal and written communications, combinedwith technical acumen
- Demonstrated performance and data driven marketing approach
- Comfort creating UX artifacts and deliverables for responsive web and mobile apps.
