Job Description

Job Summary:The position will architect and design data solutions, including architecture definition, data modeling, design, and implementation of analytics and visualization solutions.The position will also create and implement solutions to move datainto a data warehouse, as well as lead data insights projects focusing on all elements of the Moody School of Graduate and Advanced Studies. This is a temporary position.As solutions are developed, the Data Architect will create reusable and professional training and documentation materials.Essential Functions:Analyze data holdings and develop schema in support of growth and extension. Design andconfigure the Extract, Transform, and Load (ETL) processes such that the data fits into a unifieddata architectural model that meet business requirements.Collaborate with Moody and OIT stakeholders in order to structure architect data based onrequirements.Design and build extensible data marts capable of unification into a data warehouse.Design and build a semantic layer capable of reporting by Cognos and Tableau.Create and support ETLs.Create and support processes for data quality, preparation and integration.Create interactive dashboards, reports, analytics solutions, and visualizations, leveraging CognosAnalytics and Tableau Server.Create functional and technical documentation related to data architecture, integration designs,and ETLs.Other duties as assigned.Position may require night and weekend work as neededEducation and Experience:Bachelor's degree is required. Master's degree is preferred.
