Axos Services is looking for a Lead Software Engineer to join our team and oversee development of our flagship, cutting-edge case management software. This is a high-impact role that will have a large say in the architecture, best practices, and direction of the software development group moving forward.

  • Great leadership opportunity for someone looking to move into more of a technical lead role, or someone looking to groom themselves down the management path moving forward
  • Work with some of the latest and greatest technologies (React, Entity, AWS, etc.)
  • Focus on project-based work, building out a new SPA and addiing to its features/capabilities, with the opportunity to take ownership and make improvements

  • Mentor other developers with a constructive, results-oriented approach that helps them meet their potential
  • Provide technical oversight to a team of developers
  • Translate business requirements into intuitive software solutions
  • Provide accurate development effort estimations for your work as well as that of the team
  • Lead an Agile (Scrum) development team with a continuous improvement mindset
  • Collaborate with fellow IT and software developers while building knowledge base
  • Participate in technical design, development, implementation, and support of various applications throughout the Trustee and Fiduciary Services division
  • Keep a critical eye on new design specifications and raise quality, performance, or architectural concerns
  • Support other developers through problem solving by identifying as well as evolving standards, best practices, and reusable solutions
  • Build and maintain a strong working knowledge of the business area(s) supported and the applications that support it
  • Troubleshoot application problems; determine root causes and resolve issues

  • 7+ years' experience in the following areas:
    • Full-stack web development using .NET framework
    • Developing single page applications
    • Developing RESTful APIs
    • SQL server or other RDMS development
    • Hands-on development with JavaScript frameworks (React, Angular, jQuery, or related frameworks)
  • C#, SQL server, JavaScript, React, WebAPI, Bootstrap, GIT, Scrum
  • Application development with continuous delivery tools such as Azure DevOps, TFS, or Jenkins
  • Firm understanding of the fundamentals of requirement specification, design, coding, testing and delivery of business applications systems using Agile development methodologies
  • Experience translating business requirements into intuitive software solutions
  • Problem solving abilities and creative thinking
  • Ability to positively interact with all members of the development and business teams
  • Self-starter capable of working on small teams in a fast-paced environment
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience
