CLEARANCE: Active Top Secret / SCI ***TS/SCI required upon application for initial consideration***FUNCTIONAL LABOR CATEGORY: Network AdministratorWORK LOCATION: Wright Patterson Air Force Base, Fairborn, OhioTRAVEL: Position does not require travel.DESCRIPTION:Intrepid Solutions is currently supporting National Air & Space Intelligence Center (NASIC) providing information technology support services across the command. Our network administration team is gaining an additional seat due to increased need. Intrepid is looking for a qualified Network Administrator to join us in our mission. A qualified Network Administrator candidate will be able to meet the requirements, and perform the duties, outlined below:EDUCATION:High School diploma or equivalent desired.CERTIFICATIONS:DoD 8140/8570 IAT Level II (CompTIA Security+) certificationPossess a Cisco Certified Network Associate certification or equivalentPossess a Cisco Certified Networking Professional Cloud certification or equivalentJOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Follow all EIA/TIA Industry Standards, Air Force Standards, Wright-PattersonAFB Base Facility Standards, Tempest Regulations, and NASIC policies, processes and proceduresSecure all network devices following DoD guidance, IC guidance, and DISA STIGsProvide network design, maintenance, and support in coordination with requests from the Network Service OwnerWork with the Network Team Lead and the Network Service Owner to schedule all network changesInstall routers/switches/firewalls and other networking devices, label in accordance with NASIC guidance and remove unused and/or abandoned network equipmentMaintain architectural network diagrams and document all installations/changes in accordance with NASIC guidanceMonitor critical NASIC IT infrastructure (e.g. networks, servers, storage, power, and cooling) and manage the monitoring systems software and hardware as requested by the government. 9Install networking equipment that is OEM CertifiedDocument facility work being performed using the NASIC Service and IncidentRequest system (i.e. Microsoft System Center Service Manager)Document network changes according to applicable standards and processesProvide input to Daily Logs, Weekly Activity Reports, and Monthly Reports on all network tasks performed, man hours used and parts usedMaintain Communications Equipment Rooms to ensure all standards are followedPerform hardware configurations/installations in accordance with applicable standardsInstall, configure, and manage virtual networks in the data centerManage software-defined networks in the data centerTroubleshoot network issuesIdentify cabling issues/breaksRe-terminate fiber optics and cat5/cat6 cablingRepair and maintain network equipmentProvide monthly functional area reports summarizing work accomplished, work planned in next month and important issues occurring during the monthIntrepid Solutions and Services provides equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any type without regard to race, color, national origin, religion, age, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, disability status, protected veteran status, or any other characteristics protected by federal, state or local laws.
