Senior Consultant, Technical Product Manager - Public Cloud Showcasing excellence and innovation at every stage, Product Management is responsible for the cross-functional management of products or solutions through their entire lifecycle. Join us to do the best work of your career and make a profound social impact as a Senior Consultant Product Manager on our Dell Technologies Cloud team.Key Responsibilities This Product Manager role will be responsible for launching and sustaining On-Premise Private and Hybrid Cloud Solutions in partnership with various product engineering, sales, delivery organizations internally and partners, and customers externally. This is a high impact role for an individual contributor that will drive success for on-premise cloud products and reshape the IT industry as businesses transform from using IT infrastructure as traditional owned asset to infrastructure (IaaS) and platform as a service (PaaS).He / She will also be responsible for providing business and technical leadership for in-market Dell Technologies On-Premise Private Cloud Operating Models, which are used by our customers to host workloads across a spectrum of customer owned data centers, edge sites and public clouds.This is a great opportunity to be part of a highly motivated and skilled team of experts, building future of IT industry from a ground up vision and architecture for cloud solutions.Ideal Candidate ProfileYou are experienced in building and launching public cloud offers and capabilities with strong knowledge of underlying technologiesYou are experienced in launching offers to the market via different routes (direct, enterprise/commercial, channel/partners etc.)You are obsessed with customer success and use customer feedback as a key input for product decisions, with a bias for actionYou are passionate about solving our customers? business problemsYou must have strong technical skills and must understand enterprise IT, datacenter, edge computing systems and associated conceptsYou must have a sound understanding of VMware based compute, storage and network virtualization concepts and working principlesIt is highly desirable that you have good understanding of container platforms and orchestration systems, such as Dockers and KubernetesYou have extensive understanding of key customer use cases for on-premises cloud environments, such as structured and unstructured databases, VDI, modern application development etc.You have knowledge of VMware platform software like VMware Cloud Foundation and vRealize (highly desirable)You understand how IT virtualization resources (CPU, memory, storage, bandwidth, IOPS etc.) are consumed by customers and the metrics that are critical for workload operationsYou have experience in interacting with customers in the IT industry. Examples: Hyper-scalers, Enterprise IT, Co-Location companies, MSPs, SMB IT departments etc.You can deal with ambiguity; tight deadlines and you are comfortable with operating in a very fast paced environmentYou are an excellent communicator and an expert in presenting to Sales as well as Customers.You can lead by influence and work cross-functionally to achieve your goals.You will: Lead offering teams to launch new offers in a timely manner. Work closely with Product Marketing, Engineering, Program Management, Services, Sales etc. to accelerate the momentum of Dell Technologies Cloud for on-premise Private and Hybrid cloud offeringsProvide business and technical leadership for in-market offers. This includes leading enablement activities, responding to Sales questions, presenting to Sales and Customers, and drive resolution of operational issues.Actively maintain key relationships with customers, partners, and sales to gather feedback and identify ways to improve the offer definition. Lead the communication with all appropriate extended teams and ensures they are informed and in agreement with all activities needed for the product/program/project/solution to succeed.Drive the creation of offer value propositions and core content for specific target market segments and use cases.Stay informed and knowledgeable of current and future technology/engineering trends within area of Private and Hybrid cloud specifically IaaS and PaaS.Essential Requirements Typically requires 15+ years of related experience in a professional role with a Bachelor?s degree; or 12+ years with a Master?s degree; or 8+ years with a PhD; or equivalent experienceAt least 4 years of experience working on public cloud platformsExperience in defining/delivering cloud, datacenter, or software offers preferably for IaaS and/or PaaS offeringsExperience in leading Go-to-market activities and conducting field enablement sessionsExperience in driving a consistent focus and excellence with a strong, determined, talented and opinionated teamExpert understanding of business goals and objectives as they relate to customer use cases and solutionsNegotiation skills; Ability to influence at all levels to achieve resultsArticulating and presenting information at EBCs, Conferences etc.Desirable Requirements Previous product management experience focused on developer productivity and cloud-native application development highly desiredDell Technologies is a unique family of businesses that helps organizations and individuals build their digital future and transform how they work, live and play?providing customers with the industry?s broadest and most innovative technology and services portfolio.
