Job Description:Employing strong design principles, the UX Designer works closely with agile teams and Clients to evolve the user experience to balance the functional and aesthetic aspects of the UI across a multiple user personas and functions. As a member of the Product R&D team, individuals in this role excel at iterating quickly and are able to be creative in design and problem solving while utilizing research and analytics to define actionable, incremental enhancements. This position requires a self-starter, who is willing to quickly learn the domain to establish expertise and credibility while demonstrating the value of UX to the organization.PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:* Apply design thinking methodology and a user-centered design approach to create intuitive, cohesive, and seamless UX designs across products that are aligned with brand values.* Drive the design process through iterations, leading design sessions, gaining consensus, and articulating thinking from whiteboard sketches to high-fi interactive prototypes.* Contribute to component library, process documentation, design guidelines, and best practices.* Maintain information architecture, interaction designs, and documentation, contributing to component library, design guidelines and best practices.* Use digital standards and style guides to ensure design consistency across products.* Contribute to product release documentation and communication of the user experience.* Maintain an open, creative, dynamic, and productive atmosphere, with willingness to constructively accept feedback.* Pursue continuous professional development, participates in industry training and professional development, research competitors, and stays abreast of the market.* Visualize design problems and information in ways that are easy for other team members to comprehend and articulate design concepts via low-fidelity sketches and wireframes.* Deliver high-fidelity mockups and prototypes.* Participate in user research and usability testing and applies learnings to design.Experience and Skills:* Bachelor's in Design or HCI, or comparable work experience and professional development* 1+ years' experience in software UX design in an agile environment.* Ability to produce low and high-fidelity comps of designs, RAPIDLY.* Demonstrated experience with UI design and prototyping tools (Adobe XD, InVision, Photoshop, Illustrator, Sketch, Axure, and similar).* Attention to detail and strong organization skills, including the ability to prioritize tasks, communicate progress, and meet deadlines.* Communication, presentation, and story-telling skills.* Asks smart questions and champions new ideas, improvements, and innovation.* Ability to travel nationally/internationally up to 50% of the time in year 1 and 25% thereafter.* Online portfolio of UX deliverables: case studies, flows, site maps, personas, stories, wireframes, prototypes, etc.DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS :* Experience designing for complex enterprise software that drives business processes* Experience with embedded analytics and data visualizations* Experience with Industrial software HMI or SCADA* Prototyping with code HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Python, React Native, or similar
