What youll be doing... Verizon is in search of a Sr. Product Manager in the Advanced Communications and VoIP product area, with a special focus on API platform strategy, development and lifecycle management. The ideal Product Manager candidate is ready to create better experiences for Verizon's VoIP customers and partners. You will work in a diverse, cross functional and collaborative team of product, marketing, network engineers, sales and IT. Top priority is to define approach and deliver a new platform to deliver integrations, market leading functionality and actionable data, using Verizon's lean business agile process.Lead a cross functional team to defineAPI platform strategy for VoIP connectivity services.Working with stakeholders to define and document personas for VoIP API/service platform.Writing user stories for services that enable customers and partners to integrate and develop to voice/VoIP services.Developing viable business cases using market data, sales and customer feedback.Working with large enterprise customers and sales team to identify use cases to enhancement roadmaps.Research and recommend best practices and approaches for API platforms inside and outside Verizon.Working in an agile environment across stakeholder organizations (including Product Management, Operations, Order Management, Billing, etc.).Cross-functional communication and decision making in order to drive objectives.Enable product launches (idea to GA) in a fast paced, results oriented and innovative work culture.Analyzing business results using key financial metrics including volumes, costs, and profitability to ensure offers supports customer needs while also achieving business case targets such as revenue and margin.Representing Verizon at industry conferences, tradeshows & other partner events.Ideate, collaborate & innovate with startups, traditional vendors as well as internal Engineering teams.What were looking for... Youll need to have:Bachelors degree or four or more years of work experienceSix or more years of relevant work experience.Market research, business case creation, product sales enablement, pricing & marketing experience.Knowledge of API platforms, including technology, best practices and key use cases.Willingness to travel.Even better if you have:Strong product management or development background in API/Platform/Cloud plus Telecom/IP/VoIP/Connectivity.Seven or more years of experience in product management, engineering and/or pre-sales roles with direct contribution to revenue growth (preferably in a as a service model using public or private cloud infrastructure Amazon AWS, Microsoft Azure or Google Cloud Platform).Good understanding of platforms like Postman, Apigee, etc.Good understanding of cloud to cloud integrations, integrations to network routing platforms, customer data and service platforms.Deep understanding and industry experience to provide systems perspective and expertise for existing networks (MPLS, VoIP) and exposure to future trends (5G, IoT ecosystem etc) & vendor ecosystem.Excellent communication skills & lead discussions with pre-sales community customers to identify new market opportunities and use cases.Experience in agile IT development processes and collaboration tools (e.g. JIRA, Confluence, Jive etc.) as well as vendor management.Experience developing and managing a developers portal for as a service platform.When you join Verizon...
