As a key specialist in our connected vehicle product design and development team, you will:Develop production quality code for constrained environments within ECUs targeted at AVsCreate in-vehicle networking messaging constructs for communication with in-vehicle ECUsDeliver messaging constructs to communicate with off-board cloud systemsPartner with ECU suppliers to integrate code into the platformCollaborate with other in-vehicle and cloud teams for integration and validation effortsAdopt current tools and processes and seek new opportunities to drive efficienciesSupport AV LLC vehicle program design, validation and production launch milestones and deliverablesDesign and document AV on-board and off-board connectivity solutionsAlign with partners, internal in-vehicle subsystem teams, vendors and other partners on end-to-end architecture blueprintsThe minimum requirements we seek:Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, computer science or related fieldEight or more years of active hands-on C/C++ software development experience on embedded infotainment platforms/automotive ECUs/consumer electronic platformsFour or more years of experience developing multithreaded applications in embedded Linux or other POSIX compliant OS platform.At least five years of experience interfacing with automotive in-vehicle networking and communication protocols (e.g., CAN, ETHERNET)Our preferred requirements:Masters degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, computer science or related fieldTen or more years of experience in C/C++ language on Unix based systems and/or JavaKnowledge of in-vehicle communication, telematics or vehicle-to-cloud communication protocolsFamiliarity with eXtreme Programming (XP) practices (e.g., Pair/Mob programming)Understanding of test-first/test-driven development (TDD)Proficiency with revision control (e.g., Git, Subversion, etc.)Experience with MATLAB, CANape, CANalyzer, CANOE, etc.Background with Jira, Confluence, or equivalentOne or more years of multi-site software project team experienceFamiliarity with source control repositories and build tools (e.g., GitHub)Ability to work effectively with other technical specialists, product managers, UI/UX designers and business partnersExpertise with continuous integration/continuous delivery tools and pipelines (e.g, Jenkins, Maven, Gradle, etc.)Experience with CA Agile Central (Rally), backlogs, iterations, user stories, or similar Agile ToolsExcellent communication skillsWhat youll receive in return:As part of the Ford family, youll enjoy excellent compensation and a comprehensive benefits package that includes generous PTO, retirement, savings and stock investment plans, incentive compensation and much more.
