Job Description

Responsibilities:+ Implement, maintain and support the hardware, software, operating system and associated equipment necessary for ensuring a stable, secure, and high performing network services.+ Securing servers and other network connected devices per DoD STIG and vulnerability management requirements.+ Supporting and collaborating with team members, software vendors, and other technical staff on project efforts with local and distant resources.+ Contributing to research and evaluation of new enterprise technologies, processes, upgrades to Windows infrastructure enhancements.+ Maintain SAN, VMware, VDI, and high availability solutions including replication, update manager, firmware updates.+ Troubleshoot any problems or issues that arise with Windows servers/desktops/laptops and network infrastructure.+ Manage network environment credentials and network access to shared resources.+ Monitor system performance and respond to alert notification or escalation of an issue from members of the client team, determine the probable cause of the issue and take the appropriate intervention action(s) to restore operational capabilities.+ Document any troubleshooting and corrective actions taken to resolve issues.+ Document status of tickets; opened, pending and closed.+ Serve as escalation and coverage backup to onsite service desk support.+ Respond to any of the service area locations for dealing with hardware and/or software problems that cannot be solved through remote tools and that require the physical presence of a technician.Basic Required Qualifications and Skills:+ Minimum of 5 years? experience as system administrator.+ DoD 8570 IAT Level II Certification ? CompTIA Security+ with CE.+ MCSA, MCSE, CCNA or other equivalent certification specific to system administration of Windows servers (in addition to baseline IAT Level II Certification).+ ITIL v3 Foundation Certification.Desired Qualifications and Skills:+ Demonstrated experience with patching or SCCM (System Center Configuration Manager)+ Demonstrated experience with BMC Remedy 7.6 or 9.1.+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office products: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Outlook, Visio.+ Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work as part of a team.+ Self-starting with strong attention to detail.+ Demonstrate excellent oral, written, and analytical communication skills.+ Strong analytical and problem- solving abilities.+ A relevant educational degree in one of the follow fields: Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, Cyber Security, Systems Engineering, Computation Science, Computer Engineering, Data Analytics, Information Technology, Information Security and Assurance, Software Engineering, Systems Engineering, or Telecommunications.
