Job Description

We are partnering with a manufacturer of memorabilia and they are looking for a talented Director of UX to join their team and become a key asset to help grow the organization. You will help manage a digital team and be hands on with the user experience as well. If you are interested please apply now RESPONSIBILITIES Involvement in and leading UX and visual design activities on multiple projects, from market research to concept development, as a strong advocate for the end user Assist team in a successful and on-time project delivery Present and articulate creative solutions to internal teams with confidence Plan and polish project deliverables created by UX team Provide research oversight and direction for digital and marketing resources Enable a user testing strategy and deliver designs before launch that have been vetted by consumer interactions Manage projects and oversee small project teams Lead brainstorming and research planning sessions Collaborate on project estimation and planning Lead advanced activities such as design workshops, rapid prototyping, and iterative user testing Supervision (4-5 team) Participate in decisions related to the selection, promotion, transfer, pay and discipline of assigned personnel. Clearly communicate job duties and responsibilities to enable individuals to proceed with certainty in the performance of their positions. Monitor the work performance of assigned personnel on a continual basis; conduct effective performance reviews; take corrective action whenever necessary and, where necessary, work with HR Generalists to establish performance improvement plans. Support the development of assigned personnel's skills and abilities, and demonstrate by personal example the desired standards of conduct (Jostens values) and work performance. JOB REQUIREMENTS Required: 10 years' professional experience 4-year degree, BA or BS in design, information sciences, HCI, or psychology Minimum of 3 years of experience managing people Proven written, verbal, conceptual and visual communication skills High-level understanding of technologies with the ability to weave that understanding together to make informed decisions Ability to create and present to internal teams and clients clean, detailed, deliverables with high production value. E.g., journey maps, flows Expert understanding of usability principles and user research methodologies Expert level of proficiency in tools such as Axure, InVision, Sketch, Omnigraffle, Optimal Workshop,, Userzoom, UserLytics, and Survey Monkey.
