The role will focus on developing Next Generation of online ordering systems. The role will focus on understanding requirements, enhancing existing software and developing cloud enabled services with latest software stack for Hospitality using React/TypeScript and C# .NET Core. You will also work with Engineering teams on developing UI and back-end APIs that can support thousands of transactions and Next-Gen Products based on requirements from Product Management.Required Skills and Experience:Deep understanding of Computer Science fundamentalsStrong development, debugging and troubleshooting skillsExcellent written, verbal communication skills. Able to work in teams and collaborative fashion. Able to quickly respond to requests to support sales/pre-sales by presenting complex solution to customers in an understandable way. Help communicate the value of microservices and cloud hosted services.Analyze, design and implement software mechanisms to improve code stability, performance, and re-usability. Participates and leads code review sessions.Support System Testing by designing for testability and leading the march to full test automation of developed code.Participates with industry groups, stays current with technology and industry trends, disseminates knowledge to team members, forms best practices. (Retail and Self-service Retail Industry groups)Communicate with Solution Management and other internal teams. Participates in cross-functional collaboration within the organization.Knowledge of software development standards and protocols: PCI, European data security standards, and enterprise networking best practices.Required Skills and Experience:Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or related fieldMaster's degree preferred8+ years of experience in Product design and developmentSignificant Microservices architecture experience:Review, refine and evangelize patterns to scale application development; Passionate technical leadership to educate and direct teams for the microservices realization.Experience migrating a Monolith architecture to a Microservices architecture desirableExperience in testing of microservices and its integration with DevOps CI/CD pipeline, including Jenkins/HarnessExperience in building applications based on Containers: Docker, gRPC, RedisPerformance OptimizationDatabase Design experiencePub / Sub architecture and design best practicesChampion of Agile Scrum methodologiesLanguages/Technologies:Working knowledge of C# and C++ReactJSBitbucket/JIRA/GIT WorkflowDockerKubernetesAzure Cloud PlatformMQTT messagingOperating Systems: Linux and WindowsUnderstanding of hospitality solutions, front end operations and preferably e-commerce systems.Able to define and monitor "Design for Performance" standardsOffers of employment are conditional upon passage of screening criteria applicable to the job.EEO StatementIntegrated into our shared values is NCR's commitment to diversity and equal employment opportunity.
