TRAX is a large business that has supported the Department of Defense since 1979 and currently performs services for the Army Test and Evaluation Command (ATEC) at Yuma Proving Ground, AZ; Fort Hood TX; Ft Greely, AK; and in the Republic of Panama. Salaries are negotiable based on specific experience and proven performance.The Systems Engineer III will play an integral role on the TRAX Team, providing technical guidance and operational support to the leadership team. The successful candidate will apply their knowledge of undertaking and resolving difficult problems to all activities and reports. The successful Systems Engineer III will be able to ensure compliance with Government contracting regulations. Experience in providing technical guidance and information will ensure success in this position..?QualificationsDuties and ResponsibilitiesMay serve as a working leader responsible for leading and providing technical advice and direction to lower graded personnel.Duties may include, but are not limited to, monitoring work, ensuring product quality, accuracy, and timeliness, consolidating reports for COR regarding status updates and billing; and reviewing collected data for completeness, accuracy, and validity.Coordinates with others to ensure all safety, security, environmental, and community concerns are adequately addressed.Undertake and resolve difficult and highly complex technical projects through research, analysis, and the application of judgment developed from previous experiences.Provides technical insight for addressing problems that are difficult to define, requires unconventional or novel approaches, and requires sophisticated analytical techniques.Remains abreast of changes in the subject matter area and introduces technological/cutting edge breakthroughs into current efforts when applicable.Independently evaluates, selects, and applies standard engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria.Provides independent and professional support on portions of complex projects.Specific assignment objectives, approaches, and possible solutions are reviewed for accuracy and completeness.Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to independently performs a project assignment that involves complex features and can be guided by codes, standards, and other precedents of the discipline; analyzes and/or evaluates the results of an analysis using techniques prescribed by senior engineers or supervisors, and accomplishes tasks of which require investigation of many variables.Personally observes test events as required and monitors performance of the test item and adequacy of data collection.Reviews the data collected for completeness, accuracy, and validity.Performs other job-related duties as assigned.Required Skills and QualificationsMust possess a Bachelors Degree in specialization or related scientific discipline and fifteen years applicable experience; or a Masters Degree in specialization or related scientific discipline and five years applicable experience.Secret security clearance is required.Five (5) years of experience gained within the last 10 years (2010 to present) in at least one of the following areas: Developmental test (DT), operational test (OT), and evaluation methods (includes test and evaluation (T) planning, test design, test readiness, test execution, data collection during test, evaluation of test or modeling data, and development of evaluation analysis plans and reports) for Command, Control, Communications, and Computers (C4), Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) (C4ISR) systems/subsystems.Integrating Army and Joint Service system acquisition documentation (includes Department of Defense (DOD), Army, and Army Test and Evaluation Command (ATEC) regulations, pamphlets, instructions, and guidance) in the development of DOD system acquisition products for T of C4ISR systems/subsystems.Conducting T of Army and Joint Service information systems/subsystems.Software application testing and network communication of ISR systems/subsystems to include at least one (1) year of experience in black box functional and system-level testing techniques (techniques in which the software tester does not have access to the source code itself).Oral and written communication such as briefings, writing technical papers, etc. (includes T plans and reports such as System Evaluation Plans (SEP), Test & Evaluation Master Plans (TEMP), Early Strategy Reviews (ESR), Concept In Process Reviews (CIPR), OT and/or DT Test Plans, Operational Test Agency (OTA) Milestone Assessment Reports, OTA Evaluation Reports (OER), OTA Assessment Reports (OAR), Capabilities and Limitations Reports (CLR), Safety Releases (SR), and Safety Confirmations (SC)) for C4ISR systems/subsystems.Highly developed analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skillsStrong organizational skills and attention to detail is a top priorityMust share a commitment to maintaining a positive, collaborative work environment while simultaneously optimizing individual performance and contributionPhysical Demands and Working ConditionsThe work of this position is performed in an environmentally controlled office environment or in the outdoors of the proving groundMust be capable of sitting and entering data on a computer keyboard for extended periods of timeMust be able to view computer monitor for extended periods of timeMust be able to lift 25 pounds unassistedReasonable accommodation can be made to enable people with disabilities to perform the duties and responsibilitiesThe lists above are not intended to be construed as an exhaustive list of all responsibilities, duties, and skills required of personnel in this position.
