OverviewLead User Experience Architect (UXA)The Lead UX Architect is responsible for leading strategic thinking, user research, experience planning, and driving discovery and decision making with clients on digital projects ranging from new or redesigned responsive websites, mobile and tablet applications, and other digital systems and interfaces. As a Lead UX Architect, you will facilitate workshops with clients and other stakeholders to understand their needs, research users and competitors, scope and plan features and functionality, outline the overall site flow and the hierarchy of each page template, conduct usability testing and synthesize the results, and annotates the interactions and functional requirements. You will work closely with clients, digital strategists, content strategists, visual designers, project managers, account managers and front-end and back-end developers to develop innovative and engaging solutions. Facilitate client workshops and drive clients to thoughtful, considered decisions. Research and understand the target audiences' needs, tasks, and goals and create relevant artifacts, such as personas, journey maps. Complete hands-on information architecture work, such as site maps, digital ecosystem mapping, user flows, wireframing and prototyping. Conduct user research, such as remote usability testing, card sorting, surveys, heuristics evaluations, interviews, and contextual inquiries. Convey the expected experience through supporting documentation, such as user stories, requirements, or functional annotations. Occasionally, you will participate in sales activities by quickly understanding a potential clients needs and outlining a vision appropriate for the budget, ask, and core user needs. Work with a wide range of clients and projects, such as e-commerce, financial services, healthcare, intranets, and many more.QualificationsWhat experience you need Aptitude as a hands-on, strategic thinker who can execute as well as lead. Ability to design across devices, from desktop to mobile, and across systems, from browser-based websites and apps to native apps for mobile. 8+ years as an Information Architect, Experience Designer or a related position. Proficient in wireframing and persona and journey map development. Degree in Human Computer Interaction, Library Science, UX Design, or a related field. Proficiency with prototyping tools such as Axure, Sketch, Adobe XD, Figma. Experience with research and usability testing tools such as,, OptimalSort and Treejack. An understanding of the end to end Experience Design capabilities and how they work together.What other qualities will help you succeed Strategic, creative thinker able to translate findings into clear guidance for designers and developers and define clear project measures. Ability to lead cross discipline teams. Demonstrable passion for designing great information architectures. Deep empathy with users, understanding that people will expect a humane, usable, and successful user experience as well as required functionality and features. Ability to communicate well with stakeholders, teammates, and users. A high-level understanding of current relevant technologies and ability to quickly comprehend the fundamentals of new technologies and how those might influence requirements, design approach, and product innovation. An understanding of various software platforms such as Magento, Insight, or other commerce platforms as well as AEM. Detail-oriented, efficient, flexible, and calm in the face of ambiguity. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and meet aggressive deadlines. Consultancy or agency experience a plus. Flexible and adaptable in approach as well as to fit project budget and timelines. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and meet aggressive deadlines.
