Description The Retail Product & Strategy team focuses on strategically improving sales and customer experience to grow key Medicare customer segments. This small, high-performance team is comprised of strategy, product management, customer experience, and business intelligence leaders. In this role, the Business Intelligence Lead analyzes complex business problems using data from internal and external sources to create insight and influence decision-making. The Business Intelligence Lead works on problems of diverse scope and complexity ranging from moderate to substantial. This role offers the opportunity to make a real impact on the health and wellbeing of our members. Responsibilities The Business Intelligence Lead uses tools, technologies, applications and practices to collect, integrate, analyze, visualize, and communicate insightful and actionable business information from internal and external data. Advises executives to develop functional strategies (often segment specific) on matters of significance spanning product design, sales & marketing, customer service, and clinical. Exercises independent judgment and decision making on complex issues regarding job duties and related tasks, and works under minimal supervision, Uses independent judgment requiring analysis of variable factors and determining the best course of action. + Work directly with product, operations, and market executives and their teams to derive data insights and make data-driven improvements + Lead cross-functional analytics initiatives + Partner with business teams and analytics/technology professionals to identify data and technology related needs + Write queries to pull data from various data sets and platforms; create repeatable, automated ETL processes + Build online interactive dashboards and reports + Provide mentoring and indirect leadership to teammates with respect to consultative and technical skills in order to promote best practices and grow the organization Required Qualifications + Bachelor's degree and 8+ years in data analysis OR Master's degree and 4 years of experience + 2+ years of project leadership experience + Advanced experience working with big and complex data sets within large organizations + Experience analyzing data to solve a wide variety of business problems and create data visualizations that drive strategic direction + Proven ability to work with cross-functional teams and translate requirements between business, project management and technical projects or programs + Proficiency in understanding Healthcare related data + Proficiency in verbal/written communication to senior and executive leadership + Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences Preferred Qualifications + Advanced Degree in a quantitative discipline, such as Mathematics, Economics, Finance, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering or related field + Advanced in SQL, SAS and other data systems + Experience with tools such as Tableau and Qlik for creating data visualizations + Expertise in data mining, forecasting, simulation, and/or predictive modeling + Experience creating analytics solutions for various healthcare sectors Additional Information Scheduled Weekly Hours 40 About Us Mission: At Humana, our cultural foundation is aligned to helping members achieve their best health by delivering personalized, simplified, whole-person healthcare experiences.
