Position Summary: Segue Technologies, Inc. seeks a senior Database Administrator to design, develop, operate and maintain a database using standard design tools. This is a full-time position located on-site at Joint Base San Antonio - Randolph, TX. Job Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Provide a database access checklist that the Product Support Team will use to load, configure and maintain TIMS and GTIMS databases Facilitate monitoring of system performance and to optimize performance Complete server checks daily, weekly and monthly using checklists Complete checklist data with reportable information on system up or down times (supports ITIL reports: Reliability, Maintainability and Accessibility) Assist the customer by analyzing and troubleshooting the user's issues by using Tier 2 or 3 collected troubleshooting techniques Serve as liaison between users and Team Segue on database/software issues Write and edit reports in SQL, SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), Report Definition Language (RDL) and other report code Write, test, and validate queries and reports before deployment Use the AETC CMDB tool (JIRA) to manage all configuration items, ensuring all items are tracked across the enterprise Maintain system databases, related equipment and associated TIMS enterprise resources Taking care of machines and performing upgrades Push software upgrades Install and configure instances of SQL Server Ensure SSRS reports are put into service Develop and implement highly complex database applications to accommodate a wide variety of user needs Analyze and determine informational needs and elements, data relationships and attributes, proposed manipulation, data flow and storage requirements, and data output and reporting capabilities Define logical attributes and inter-relationships and designs data structures to accommodate database production, storage, maintenance, and accessibility Data quality Implement and Maintain SQL Automation Utilize T-SQL and PowerShell to manage and manipulate data within SQL Manage, maintain, and build SQL Always Available Fail-Over Clusters Implement and maintain SQL Database Encryption Implementing and maintaining DISA Database and Instance STIGs and maintaining STIG, SRG, and Patch compliance Additional tasks as required Required Skills: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT Systems, Software Engineering or another technical field, or related major. Relevant technical experience may be substituted for the bachelor's degree 10+ years of database system administrator experience Experience working with SQL, SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), Report Definition Language (RDL) and other report code Experience of managing and developing SQL Server, BI Suite, database custom tools using SQL Server Data Tools/Visual Studio 2013-2015 IDE's Experience with system patching, system vulnerability scan response actions, system STIGs Requirements gathering, scripting, testing and documentation Software Development Life Cycle experience Excellent oral and written communication skills Ability to work independently with minimal supervisory direction Understanding of replication, availability groups, Failover clustering, and extensive troubleshooting skills Active DoD Secret Clearance Active DoD 8570.01-M IAT Level II certification (Security +, CCNA Security, GICSP, GSEC, SSCP, etc.) Desired Skills: Current knowledge of TIMS and/or GTIMS programs Current knowledge of Air Force Network Environments Experience with DoD System Development One or more of the following certifications: ITIL-F Certified, Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (SQL Server) Experience with Citrix Zen Desktop and Citrix Netscaler Implementations Segue Technologies, Inc. is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action employer.
