ASRC Federal Space and Defense (AS&D), a subsidiary of ASRC Federal Holding Company, is seeking a Program Analyst in Silver Spring, MD.

The candidate will join an existing government and contractor team and provide program, policy, and budget analysis support to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), National Environmental Satellite, Data and Information Service (NESDIS) organization. NOAA/NESDIS provides scientific and technical leadership for development of environmental satellite services and products.
NESDIS Headquarters provides programmatic, technical, and budgetary oversight of major satellite programs, including the Geostationary Operational Environmental Satellite - R Series (GOES-R) and the Joint Polar Satellite System (JPSS), as well as satellite ground development, operations, and science. Its executive team is responsible for balancing the needs of a diverse set of programs, while making efficient use of taxpayer dollars, and meeting the observational needs of its main customer, the National Weather Service.
Working in support of NESDIS Senior Executives, the candidate will provide a wide range of program analysis support services. The candidate will highlight and prioritize major issues within the Senior Executive's portfolio of programs, drawing attention to the programmatic, technical, or budgetary issues of the greatest concern. The candidate will draft talking points for Congressional meetings and briefings to ensure messaging is consistent across the NESDIS Leadership team and with previously released public documents. The candidate will provide special project support for the NESDIS Executives, and will pre-screen documents and responses from the NESDIS program office's to ensure the NESDIS Executive's requests have been met, among other duties as assigned.
