The Microsoft Capacity, Supply Chain, and Provisioning (CSCP) group is an exciting and fast evolving engineering group within Microsoft. CSCP empowers customers to achieve more by delivering cloud capacity differentiated at scale. Our mission is to deliver capacity for all cloud services predictably through intelligent systems driven by continuous learning and a world class organization. Our team is focused on driving our Cloud Supply Chain digital transformation. The team plays a critical role in ensuring the financial impact of operational decisions can be measured comprehensively and at scale. We are looking for an experienced, talented, and motivated software engineer to transform how Microsoft delivers cloud computing resources around the world. We work with multiple engineering and business teams to connect data and systems that enable critical business decision-making.

Responsibilities

Develop front-end applications and back-end services that generate critical business insights to power mission-critical decisions

Help design and implement the future architecture for highly scalable, durable, low latency planning and execution systems

Engage with engineers and business partners across Microsoft to identify opportunities to accelerate business decision making

Act as an expert in getting applications and services to production quickly while ensuring code quality and security

Drive innovations leveraging big data, ML techniques and distributed systems to deliver business results.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

BS or MS in Computer Science, or equivalent experience

5+ years of industry experience developing software platforms, preferably in server or cloud-based systems

Preferred Qualifications:

Previous ERP integration or implementation experience helpful, but not required

Proficient programming with C#, Java, or Python, with a preference for experience in C#

Excellent computer science fundamentals with strong testing, debugging, and analytical skills

Knowledge of various design patterns and technologies that enable business problem-solving at scale

Experience developing high-performance service-oriented solutions

Strong communication skills with both engineering and non-engineering colleagues
